LONDON, Jan 23 (APP)‑The British Parliament has cancelled the showing of a controversial film “Fitna” by the right‑win Dutch MP Geert Wilders following vociferous protest by the Muslim community.More at the above link.
The screening was to take place on January 29 at the House of Lords.
The decision to cancel the showing was taken on Friday when Lord Nazir Ahmed had a meeting with the Government Chief Whip of the House of Lords and Leader of the House of Lords, together with representatives from the Muslim Council of Britain, British Muslim Forum and other representatives from the British Muslim community....
The UK is wimping out. And the objecting Moslems are declaring victory in the name of Allah.

Lord Ahmed is a fatwa- and jihad-facilitator. If not actually the agent of a hostile foreign power (Iran), his loyalty to British law is certainly suspect:

They said it was time Jack Straw, the Home Secretary, removed the round-the-clock Special Branch protection that Mr Rushdie still received, which is estimated to cost taxpayers up to £1 million a year. Lord Ahmed and Lady Uddin, both Muslims, said the author of The Satanic Verses was hooked on publicity "whether it's with a model or saying his life is in danger" and the money would be better spent providing more police for everyone else.
Lord Ahmed said: "It is debatable whether Mr Rushdie should still receive protection, bearing in mind the amount of money he earns. Do we pay for all important people in private industry to receive police protection because they may be the target of criminals? And that is what Salman Rushdie is in, private industry."
His comments were endorsed by Lady Uddin who said Mr Rushdie was too ungrateful. She said: "Public money should be used for someone who is grateful. We should not pay for this protection when he has so little gratitude. It is a mockery of democracy."

*Constituents must send the link to the FITNA video to each Parliamentarian in e-mail.
*Bombard Parliament with FITNA so they cannot be dhimmified by rank seditionists.
*Follow the example set here in the USA by Tom Trento, Doug Ross and the Clarion Fund with their mass distribution of free copies of "Obsession" in newspapers nationwide. Generously fund such initiatives.
*Petition UK Channel 4 Dispatches to run a program devoted to FITNA as a follow-up to their Undercover mosque series or as a Special program outlining the threat of sharia limitations to free speech.
*Relentlessly DEMAND your rights for freedom of expression!
Lord Ahmed praised the Green Lane Mosque (which was the subject of the Undercover Mosque documentary) as being an example of moderation and tolerance.
Lord Ahmed also called for Salman Rushdie's guard to be removed.
Lord Ahmed is, in my opinion, a Taqiyya-spouting Islamofascist of the highest order.
The refusal to watch Fitna makes our leaders even less clued-up than they already are! Disgusting!
