SANTA ANA, Calif. — The brother-in-law of Osama bin Laden's former bodyguard was arrested Friday on charges that he lied about ties to terrorist groups on citizenship and passport papers, authorities said.More at the above link.
An anti-terrorism task force comprised of federal and local law enforcement agents arrested Ahmadullah Sais Niazi, 34, at his home in Tustin early Friday, according to the U.S. attorney's office.
Niazi has lived in the U.S. since 1998 and became a citizen in 2004.
A grand jury indictment unsealed Friday charged Niazi with perjury, procurement of naturalization unlawfully, passport fraud and making a false statement. He could face up to 35 years in prison if convicted of all charges.
According to search warrant affidavits, Niazi's sister, Hafiza, is married to Amin al-Haq, who prosecutors say is a high-ranking al-Qaida member. Al-Haq was named a "specially designated global terrorist" by the United Nations Security Council and U.S. officials in 2001, according to the indictment.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Deirdre Eliot said al-Haq was believed to have been bin-Laden's bodyguard around and after Sept. 11, 2001, prompting the terrorist designations.

Do you think Obama will pardon him?
Seriously, you know that the citizenship oath requires you to denounce all foreign allegiance (which should include Islam)? All who have kept their foreign dual citizenship perjured themselves under oath.
This is also why amnesty is a bad idea. Citizenship is not a matter of paperwork, it is a matter of sentiment and ideological orientation. If you legalize millions who hate America you have not created citizens. You have diluted the idea of citizenship and given American rights to some dangerous and ungrateful mo fos.

Why am I not surprised that he lied?
Culturist John,
We can only guess what Obama will do. He might pardon him, simply because he is a leftist and he may have a naive view of human nature. On the other hand, he might not pardon him, even if he wants to, simply because that could hurt his chances come the next election. Its also possible that he will just ignore this.
There sure are a lot of radical Muslims in the OC.
