And, Speaking Of Obama's Racism ...

UPDATE: APPARENTLY, THIS STORY IS UNSUBSTANTIATED, MEANING IT IS LIKELY UNTRUE.

It is not my habit to merely remove posts when I am wrong. Instead, I leave them up with a correction (as above) to show that we're trying to be accurate here, but sometimes we blow it.

Obama's top secret service agent fired

From Live Leak:

A Secret Service Agent, responsible for protecting President Obama, was fired today under questionable reasons, according to top aides. The Agent was reportedly tired of overhearing personal gripes by the Obama Family about certain demograhics in the United States. The Agent, who has not been identified as of today, brought his concerns staright to the President Obama, who later had him removed from his current assignment. More to come as story unfolds.

Plus we have the case of Harvard University Professor Henry Louis Gates who got his mug shots taken the other day when he was arrested for disorderly conduct. A concerned neighbor had called 911 because she thought burglars were breaking into Gates' house. It turned out to be Gates and his driver trying to unstick his front door. The Cambridge police showed up, found Dr. Gates in the house, and requested ID as they would do of anyone in such a case.

But Dr. Gates is an "African-American".

He screamed that the cops were "racist", kept it up through the house and out on the street, and got busted. Now the charges are dropped but the damned old posturing fool is demanding an "apology" of the cops for doing their jobs.

And of course, Al Sharpton has waded into this sewer. Stay tuned...

Why wouldn't he just explain to the officers the situation and show him his ID, like a normal person would? If the officers give him trouble after that, then scream racism or police misconduct or whatever.

Why should any man of color be forced to vet his identity? Obama has made sure such questions will be immediately dismissed as racist.

White is a color. . .

If the cops DID NOT DEMAND (politely, of course) proof of my ID under those circumstances, I would be furious. I would THANK them for checking, actually.

I am also grateful when retailers ask me for ID with a credit card purchase. I thank them for doing so. I am white.

HERE is some common sense about that arrest of the Harvard professor. Worth reading, IMO.
