"I Want To Express My Grave Concerns About The Administration's Response"

I'm with Senator DeMint when he expresses "grave" concerns about our current Presidential Administration.

In this video, Senator DeMint reads into the Congressional record the step by step events that took place which led the Honduran military to depose President Zelaya.

The one thing I had wondered about was whether the Honduran Supreme Court and Congress had overstepped their power in their hurry to get Zelaya out of office, because of the threat he posed as the result of his using a mob to break into a military installation. In other words, I was concerned that they had skipped the Impeachment process, in their haste to get rid of what they saw as a potentially violent threat to the Constitutional processes of the government.

It turns out, however, that even before Zelaya had resorted to such "mob rule" methods, he was in violation of Article 238 in the Honduran Constitution which states that, "Any President who even proposes an extension of his tenure in office shall immediately cease performing the functions of his post."

In other words, the only thing to wonder about with regard to the Honduran situation is, why did it take so long for the Judiciary and the Legislative branches to order Zelaya removed from office.

You have to watch this video. It is a devastating denunciation of President Barack Obama.

In the end you will be left knowing that the Honduran government did the right thing,

and,

you will also be left podering one ominous (grave?) question,

Is it, in fact, true that Barack Obama is attempting to help Zelaya perform a coup against the Honduran Constitution?

...United States no longer stands as a beacon of liberty

With the Obama administration, that sounds true, very true. When Obama came to power, the first politician in this world that he called was Mahmoud Abbas the Palestinian thug known as their president...as if that wasn't bad enough--Obama was ready to talk to Iran without any preconditions and Obama "stretched out his hand" toward Iran, a nation with tyrants and dictators ruling over the population.

We can all sit around and think, "ah, he's trying to fix problems!" but with these steps that he took, I knew he had gone too far and crossed the line, no wonder Ahmedinejad asked him to apologize more than once! The dictators know now that they can get away with murder because Obama will protect them. They have an ally in shape of the most powerful man on earth, who has hated America most of his life, who attended a church for over 20 years that preached hatred for America from its pulpit and who stands for everything that is anti-America.

All Obama has done for the last 6 months is made the enemies of democracy and freedom stronger. Obama has made enemies of America stronger and the true allies weaker. I agree with DeMint when he says, "The president can not even be counted upon to support our legitimate allies!".

I just want to end my comment with two very profound questions that DeMint asked:

"What do we stand for if not for freedom, democracy and the rule of law? Where is the intellectual clarity to see the facts on the ground as they really are?"

I think everyone and not just Obama needs search their souls for answers to these questions.

Excellent video. DeMint really refutes the notion that Zelaya's ouster was a "military coup." Our glorious president doesn't have a clue...or a coup!

I think I might prefer DeMint over Sarah Palin as the next GOP presidential candidate; this guy impresses me more every day.

Let's see: I Wun does not like the fact that the President of Honduras tried to overrule the Honduran Constitution and the military showed him the door because of it.

Why would something like that upset I Wun?

Avenging Apostate,
I'm glad you commented on that, cuz I forgot to, frankly.

With Obama as President, America is no longer the leader of the Free World.

He has made that abundantly clear, and that is why I have Grave Concerns.

Excellent post Pastorius, thankfully we have a handful of Senators and Congressman who are standing up for freedom and liberty in Honduras.

I don't think I would have changed one word in DeMint's incisive speech on the Senate floor.

In light of Sen. McCain's remarks yesterday, also condeming Zelaya and Obama's foreign policy, we are seeing why elections make monumental differences.

Over 3 years ago when I put up my testimony, I wrote:

"...but how great I found the US to be. A country that teaches what the word freedom means. From 1620 till today it has lived for only one thing, freedom – for its own citizens and for others."

I am sad to say these words don't ring true anymore. I am disappointed in America. What so many great leaders strove so hard to create is taking only one man to tear it all down!

I am reminded that the heroic actions of Americans in the face of all odds are a distant memory now--a thing of the past--because now they are without a willing leader, now their leader is more about pleasing the world than about doing what's right!

This has happened before, I'm sure, but these are the wrong times to be an orphan nation!

As I stated in my 4th of July Warning post, Obama is moving us one step closer to a dictatorship.

He obviously has chosen the best of the best, to emulate.

Call DeMint's, McCain's, McConnell's and Kyl's offices. Thank those who have supported the Constitutional rule of law in Hond., and encourage the Rep. leadership to do the same.

Also voice your concerns over the "health care" bill, global "climate change" bill and anything else you are concerned about.

The day I called my senators' offices, their staff did not even know that BO was proposing to circumvent the Senate approval process for treaties. I directed one staffer to Jake Tapper's website. He then found a few confirming reports on some other wire services. These people live in a freaking bubble. Call, call, call, call. Have facts at hand.

Encourage them to do the right thing under the Constitution. Ask them to honor their oaths of office.

As I asked one staffer "why in heaven's name does he need to skip Senate ratification with 60 Democrats??? This is NOT an "emergency." How much more power will he try to grab if he loses a Senate majority in 2010??"

Now here we have a Senator who clearly deserves every last penny of his paycheck.

On the other hand, below is your typical fifth column response consisting of distorted and whitewashed facts, sprinkled with aromatic little bits of ad hominem turd.
