Pastorius,
Not the absolute best way this could have ended, but at least they didn't send her back to her parents who would force her to reconvert to Islam and might even kill her when they get out of the country.
What would have been the best way?
Pastorius,
That it was shown that she was telling the truth, and that her parents ended up in jail and she was allowed to stay in Ohio. I wanted her to be completely vindicated.
without Rifqa having to loose her life or suffer more torment at the hands of her parents.
I don't think Rifqa ever said her parents outright threatened her.
So, I don't think they could have been convicted.
I think she was just going by the accelerated hints.
Am I wrong in my memory?
Pastorius,
I remember her saying that they did threaten to kill her, and I wanted her to be vindicated. Not just because I wanted justice to be served, I did, but also the fact that it would help the anti Jihad movement, in particular the fight agianst honor killings. Oh well, at least now she's safe or safer anyway.
significantly safer.
Damien,
You're right. I looked it up and she did say her father threatened to kill her.
