Rosie O'Donnell Agrees With Helen Thomas: Jews Should Go Back To Germany and Poland

UPDATED AT BOTTOM OF POST

This audio from a Rosie O'Donnell Radio Show made my jaw drop. It is painful to listen to. Anti-Semitism is getting worse. It has caught fire in our land.

UPDATED - Here's a comment from a German man (discussing Helen Thomas) at the website CAMERA:
Well, being German, I would greatly appreciate having all these neighbours back.
Too bad they are all dead and just names on a bunker.
Instead, we now have a mosque not 400m from this bunker.

Don't worry, as of last year they didn't have an Imam there. The old one was deported for being a hate preacher. The mosque is one of several mosques in Bremen under constant surveillance by the "Verfassungsschutz" (Office for the protection of the constitution - a CIA-like police).
I guess no, if I were a jew, I wouldn't want to go back to Germany ever.
This lady is insane. As if the Jewish People were any safer anywhere else in the world than in their own country.

Pastorius,

Rosie O'Donnell is being an idiot. Does she not realize that it is the Palestinians who commit acts of terrorism agianst innocent Israeli civilians? Where are all the Jewish Israelis committing acts of terrorism agianst innocent Palestinian civilians? There maybe some, but they must be very few and far between, because I don't remember hearing about any.

For decades, students at all levels have been taught that Pseudostinian land is being occupied by Jews. In fact, this lie is presented as fact.

So, we have at least two generations of people who have grown up believing the lie. It's imprinted on them!

How to combat such an imprint? I've tried numerous times using historical facts and have made no headway.

Rosie back to Sapphos!

people think that anti semitism is rising in Oymeerika
I think that it is the same - it is just SAFE to spew it now

If you are not a Jew (and not a hater) it is hard to understand this because you will not have the lifelong experience of encountering the Jew hate in people who keep it very well hidden most of the time - from my POV there is no increase just a REVEAL

Rosie is not being an idiot, that's way too kind. She is a vicious, evil piece of garbage who is now saying the things she would not have dared to five years ago. If we were in 1930s Germany she'd be screeching "Jews back to Palestine" and looking for work as a concentration camp guard.

I grew up in a Jewish community though I'm not a Jew, and yes it was out there but not like this. It was post WWII and that community was strong, and very proud of Israel. Now an atmosphere has been created where creatures like Thomas and O'Donnell think it's safe to crawl out from under their rocks again.

Babba,
Do you have any links or pics or other evidence for the fact that back in the 30's the chant was, Jews back to Palestine?

BabbaZee said...

I did on the computer that died before I got this one
I can research it again though

the newspapers in the 30's had lots of articles and photos on it

I seem to recall seeing that kind of stuff, but I don't remember where.

guys:
these are all great comments, and mostly I agree with all of them.

as an aside note however, when it comes to claim of ownership of the land, somehow history of WWII dominates the conversation. It is true that in essence it became a decisive moment for most of the migration back to the region, but let's not leave out the fact for for over 2 thousand years expelled Jews living in Europe were saying "Next Year in Jerusalem". These are the words that have ended each and every Passover Seder.

They are still being said. The region is the rightful home not only Jews returning from Europe, but also all the Jews expelled from Muslim/Arab nations after legal recognition in 1948.

The Jewish quarter in Cairo is still a ghost town today. Jews cannot conduct business or have a citizenship in Jordan, the land of their ancestors. Yet, not one Jew asked for a right to return of compensation for that modern day "displacement".

Like I said earlier, someone should tell rosie who king David was. I wonder if she realizes that it's the same star on the Israeli Flag.

It would seem that Rosie O'Donnell is not aware that Jews lived in Israel thousands of years ago. But, I don't believe she doesn't know that, so the only conclusion is, she's just an anti-Semite.

That's the thing tho... so many people buy into this whole myth that somehow land was taken away, and it should be given back.

Fine, let's do that...
let's give it back to Turkey (former Ottoman Empire), then Turkey can turn it over to Italy (former Roman Empire), and Italy can give it right back to Judea (smaller part of which is modern day Israel). 'Nuff said (:

Allow me to paraphrase John Brown's last words, written on a note just before he was hung:

"I, John Brown, am now quite certain that the crimes of this guilty world can never be purged away but with blood."

That today with all this world's OBVIOUS hatred, bigotry and racism over 2 and a half millenia towards one TINY TINY minority turns again among the pure haters, the emotional bigots and ignoramuses and the learned academics and entertainers, and cynical and believing politicians and reporters towards this SAME DISEASE OF HUMANITY tells me beyond any doubt something wicked this way comes.

Hey Rosie, to paraprase Meryl Yourish - "Do you think the muslims of the day would have called the place Hebron, rather than Islamron or Muslimron (or perhaps Moron)? Do you think it might have something to do with the word Hebrew? Yeah."

I agree!

The more anti-Semitism is utter, the more it's incited and brought to the fore.

Epaminondas

"skyMyrka .., you talk of logic and self interest where hatred of the jews is the paramount politically correct quality."

I'm not certain how to interpret that, can you please clarify?

Thinking about the issue, I can only attribute to anti-Semitism that Rosie being a gay rights activist, has no reservations condemning the only country in the region that actually recognizes "her cause" and furthermore, legally protects it. Not to mention other factors, such as Israel being the one and only stable Democracy in a region. I think we all know, never in history two Democratic Nations fought a war against each other.

Further, forgoing any ethical implication of what her 'celebrity' is doing to 'help' condemn a country without any cause or being properly informed (clearly).

The interesting thing is that you can actually sue someone for deformation of character. I only wish such could sue for deformation of the character of an entire Nation. Half-joking, but still..

there is a rabbinical story that accompanies the giving of the Torah at sinai which basically says that GOD told us

If you accept this thing it will be as if I took this mountain and lifted it and smashed it down on you - they will try to kill you forever do you still want it

and we said

na aseh v'nishma

yes we will listen and we will do

they nailed a Jew to wood as a blood sacrifice for the goyim they call him jesus

he is the story of every jew

this is our JOB

we do not have to like it

but this chosen shit aint what people think it is

and blood IS spiritual currency

you may thank a Jew for your life

cause we Are the Lambs of GOD

Epaminondas said...

SkyMyrka... given any set of prejudices, anti semitism will always take precedence.

In the Passover Haggadah it says "In every generation there will arise those who will try to kill the jews"

I am not one to take canonical literature at face value in reality.

But one cannot argue with historical accuracy.

And who says "Truthers" are not far behind being holocaust deniers?

Damien said...

Mah29001,

Even if they are not antisemitic 9/11 truthers still deny something, (much like holocaust deniers) that has overwhelming evidence to back it up. In addition they expect us to believe a version of the events of 9/11 that can't be backed up by any evidence. So even when they are not antisemitic they are doing something similar to what holocaust deniers do.

SkyMyrka,

Please post away! Missed this thread in the busy earlier day, but have throughly enjoyed reading this!

BabbaZee,

Fascinating.

I was going to tell y'all how it was that I never experienced anti-semitism growing up, to the point, that its existence was a rude awakening to me, ... but mom wants her flan and I'm torn between the computer and the latest on Joren Van der Sloot.

But I have enjoyed reading this immensely.
