Iowa's Republican national committeewoman said today that she believes President Barack Obama is truly a Muslim, contradicting his earlier statements that he's a Christian.Kim Lehman, who is one of Iowa's two national Republican Committee members, may be one of the first national committee members to publicly state she believes Obama is a Muslim. In a speech in Egypt in June 2009, Obama said he is a Christian. But Lehman said the speech "just had the appearance that he was aligning himself with the Muslims."

Excuse me, but what is wrong with that? Does anybody still believe that Obama is any kind of "Christian" other than the racist, black liberation theology, Nation-of-Islam-loving, nostalgic for the "prettiest sound in the world" adhan of his Jakarta childhood at the very least used to be a Muslim who isn't telling us how deep his sympathies go?
Sorry, I'm not going down the oh-we-must'nt-say-that road on this one. It is immaterial to me whether he is Christian or not. But if any of the shoes in the paragraph above fit, then that makes him just a bit more my enemy than I already knew he was. Same deal with background information such as his academic records being locked up. Not the worst of our worries by a long shot, but a part of the puzzle that shouldn't be missing.
I agree with the above commenter. I don't think Obama is loyal to any ideal but himself and his ambitions, and don't really care if he is a Muslim or not. He is as damaging as he can be the way he is.
Nevertheless, I am not offended in the least that someone suspects or believes that Obama is a Muslim.
Obama is a Christian.
PERIOD.
20 years of Jeremiah Wright.
So sorry, but HYPERBOLIC and EXCESSIVE CLAIMS such as this, just like the birther STUPIDITY literally characterize a FRINGE.

Obama is Christian.
That's the difference, IMI.
Reality is the difference.
Obama is substantively, objectively Christian. Those who try to insist he is not by whatever line of reasoning FRINGE themselves and damage all.
Objectively.
Just think about it for a few days cooly.
No, Epam, this has nothing to do with "fringe", and is not going to lose us anything. One poll I heard today had 25% of those asked believing Obummah's a Muslim and the other 75% refusing to believe he's a Christian. What that says to me is that people are fed up with the nonsense. There's an element of ridicule at this point in many people's attitude towards Obama (excepting the Obots, of course), a throwing up of hands expressed in the "confusion" about his religion. We don't know what the hell he is. 20 years of Wright's crap doesn't make him a Christian, it makes him a whitey-hating, antisemitic, NOI-loving, America-despising, black liberation theologizing socialist stooge who will tell people what they want to hear to keep himself in power. A lot of people are refusing to nod their heads obediently and say uh-huh any more, and I'm one of them. I'm already "fringe" because I believe Islam is this century's Nazism and Soviet Communism and needs to be fought with the same commitment. If this jackass refuses to even stand up for the religion his handlers claim he espouses, why should I believe their spin? How does that equate me with the nuts at PrisonPlanet?
Explain to me why its hyperbolic and excessive? If you would "cooly" set down and divide a paper in half and on one side list Muslim the other Christian and then list the things that Obama has done and said--then place them in a one category or the other--then come back and tell me what you find out.
I remember once, not too long ago, just for opposing Obama I was considered "fringe"...
Obama can call himself whatever he likes--but, what does he do? Who does he support? Who does he condemn? If he walks like a muslim, talks like a muslim, acts like a muslim,...then he's a Christian? LOL...naww..don't think so.
And while Im thinking about it, from what I understand the fact that he was born to a Muslim daddy makes him Muslim--thats not a fringe comment, as far as I can tell that is a fact of Islam. How does that make me fringe by simply stating the obvious? Has he denounced his Muslim identity? Did he convert? If he did, then wouldn't he be under a death warrant by whoever is in charge of that crap?
So, I disagree with you that its hyperbole to consider whether or not Obama is a Muslim, we may never know for sure.

Obama’s Unique Form of ‘Christianity:’No Baptism Or Renunciation of Islam Required
By Madeline Brooks
Saturday, August 21, 2010
New questions arise lately concerning whether President Obama is a Muslim or a Christian, as Mr. Obama gives his partial support to the mosque at Ground Zero.
We’ve all heard by now that Obama became a Christian mostly to expedite his political career and that the Trinity United Church of Christ he joined, presided over by Reverend Jonathan Wright, was not exactly mainstream. We’ve heard about Wright’s damning of America and we know that the church was – and might still be - a hot bed of black nationalism. But what is not as well known is that no baptism is required, nor must Muslims renounce Islam to be accepted as full members in that church.
On a tip from a pastor, which I wrote about here http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/20441 I called the Trinity United Church back in February, 2010 to ask about the requirements of membership. The church receptionist transferred my call to the Director of Membership, who told me that baptism is optional and that Muslims who believe in the prophet Mohammed can be full members. In fact, she reassured me cheerfully, they have plenty of Muslim members.
Never mind that this is theologically impossible, except when one makes one’s own rules. The doctrines of Christianity and Islam are incompatible. Christianity believes that Jesus Christ is one with the Creator, through the doctrine of the Trinity, and that Jesus died on the cross in order to redeem humanity from its sins. Islam calls the Trinity ‘idolatry’ because it sees the Trinity’s three parts as separate entities – three distinct gods – instead of one divine being. Islam also denies Christianity’s claim that Jesus Christ died on the cross, or that he is the unique savior of humanity.
Baptism is central to Christian practices, both as a way to mark the convert’s entrance into a new life and as a washing away of sinful practices from the person’s past. The core of the new life as a Christian is a renunciation of other religious beliefs. The World Council of Churches is an umbrella organization for Protestant churches that represents about 550 million Christians throughout more than 120 countries. It has declared the centrality of baptism for a Christian, and notes that no matter how much churches may differ in other ways, the vast majority of churches agree on the importance of baptism.
Why would a Muslim want to join a church that proclaimed these Christian beliefs? It would be a betrayal of his own convictions. Besides, the word “Trinity” is in the name of the Trinity United Church of Christ, which should discourage a Muslim who thinks the Christian trinity is blasphemous. What’s going on here?
The Trinity United Church of Christ is affiliated with the mainline United Church of Christ which branched out of Congregationalism, and going back even further, that denomination had its roots in Puritanism. All these connections are very traditional. The affirmation of faith of the parent organization, as found in their constitution begins with, “The United Church of Christ acknowledges as its sole Head, Jesus Christ, Son of God and Savior.” However, when the black pride movement burgeoned in Chicago during the 1960s at the time when Malcolm X made that city the headquarters for the Nation of Islam, the Trinity United Church of Christ appears to have made doctrinal adjustments to accommodate its constituents. They were African Americans who wanted a veneer of Christianity, which many of them had been raised with, to cover their newly acquired black nationalism and Nation of Islam inspired faith. At the same time, the church needed new members because church attendance was falling off.
So a new syncretic religion was born, Muslim Christianity. Never mind that it makes a mish mash of theology – in order to suit the emotional and cultural needs of the parishioners. Obama may have been telling the truth when he called himself a Christian, even though he has not apparently spent much time in any church since leaving the tutelage of Rev. Wright. But for the rest of us, there is confusion, a confusion that is sure to grow as not only the President but possibly many others influenced by him, take the side of Islamic political entities while still calling themselves ‘Christian.’

More: Louis Farrakhan Trinity United Church of Christ Affiliation
After a historical win at the Iowa Caucus and what appears to be another vote of confidence in New Hampshire, questions remain about Barack Hussein Obama's religious ties.
When Obama announced his candidacy for president, his background entered the fray. Though it appears that he is not held to task on his religious affiliations by the mainstream media, it does re-surface. Let's explore
some recent events that may shed light on Obama's veiled religious affiliation.
In December 2007, the Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC) bestowed its highest social achievement award upon Louis Farrakhan, the head of the Nation of Islam. This was facilitated through the church's publication Trumpet Magazine and presented at their end of the year awards gala. The award dubbed the Lifetime Achievement "Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. Trumpet" Award is named after the head pastor that married Barack and Michele Obama nee Robinson.
According to the Church's publication, "the decision was made to honor socially conscious giants who commit their life's work to saving the lives of Africans on the continent and in the Diaspora."
In addition to thanking God for the commitment of their sponsors the publisher Jeri L. Wright, the pastor's daughter, also concludes by writing "we thank God for the commitment our honorees have made with their lives"
Among the church's other honorees, including congresswoman Maxine Waters, Louis Farrakhan earned top accolades with landing on the cover of the church's publication. The featured article about Farrakhan includes this observation attributed to the Reverend Dr. Jeremiah Wright, Jr.
"When Minister Farrakhan speaks, Black America listens," says
the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, likening the Minister's influence to
the E. F. Hutton commercials of old.
"Everybody may not agree with
him, but they listen...His depth on analysis when it comes to the
racial ills of this nation is astounding and eye opening. He brings a
perspective that is helpful and honest."
maybe obama isn't a crypto-muslim.
but he might as well be.
he hasn't been to church.
he didn't attend the national prayer breakfasts.
he extols islam but not christianity.
he berates our western judeo-christian allies and appeases our muslim foes.
he apologizes for the usa even though we've done nothing wrong.
he might as well be a crypto-muslim.
but even if he isnt, he's the biggest threat to the usa, israel and the entire west.
bigger than iran or al Q.
obama's domestic policies are destroying us. and our ability to protect the free world.
that ain't a bug; it's a feature.
wake up.
RP, I remember now reading that about baptism and change of religious beliefs not being required at that church. That peculiar strain of "Christian-Muslim" they've developed might indeed explain some of the contradictions in Obama's religious behavior if from his p.o.v. he's both.
Btw, Doug Hagmann over at Northeast Intelligence Report commented recently that Islam appeals to globalist and one-world types because its totally integrated political content makes it a "one world religion" candidate. Of course, everyone would have to accept the religious idiocy along with the political fascism, but that doesn't seem to be bothering the globalist types as much as it should.
Hi Guys.
I have the story on my blog today:
Mitchell Langbert.Obama Lied About His Religious Affiliation.Because of recent poll findings (reported in Newsweek, for example, with factual errors) that as much as 31% of the public believes that Obama is a Muslim, there has been a spate of publicity concerning an issue that surfaced on my blog during the election campaign: whether then-Senator Obama was lying about his religious affiliation. the Trinity United Church of Christ appears to have made doctrinal adjustments to accommodate its constituents. They were African Americans who wanted a veneer of Christianity, which many of them had been raised with, to cover their newly acquired black nationalism and Nation of Islam inspired faith. So a new syncretic religion was born, Muslim Christianity.Read the whole story here!

I have said, on multiple occasions, that in my opinion, Trinity United practices a brand of CHRISLAM.
It is not a Christian Church.
The fact that they honor Louis Farrakhan and accept Muslims as Members tells you what you need to know.
To deny this is akin to denying that
ACCORDING TO ISLAMIC DOCTRINE
BARACK OBAMA IS A MUSLIM.
One can not deny that. It is true.
Likewise, one can not deny the facts about Trinity United.
NOW, that being said, that does not prove that, in his heart of hearts, Barack Obama is a Muslim. But, he might as well be for all he shows to the public (which the public, led by the media, DENYS).
This syncreticsm is [probably the key to the current public "confusion". You run into it all the time dealing with cults, and of course a lot of Afro-Caribbean religion is highly syncretist, but to most Americans who are members of one religion or denomination it is a harder concept to grasp. For Obama, the safest answer is to stick with his "Christian" side, but since he has probably seldom or never been part of a conventional Christian church, "normal" Christian behavior does not come naturally to him.
Again, there is nothing "fringe" about this. It simply fits the facts. He's not really lying when he says he's Christian -- but he's not telling the whole truth either.
I personally believe that the Man-Child's religion is self worship.
I also see absolutely no reason why a stealth jihadi couldn't or wouldn't embrace a facade of Christianity in order to further Mohammedanism.
After all remember that war is deceit and allah(satan) is the best of deceivers per the profit mo's teaching.
Of course the media worms are going to do everything they can to play this in the Man-Child's favor, but too many people are tired of the shit this shit bag is force feeding us all.
I just really hope that no idiot deep sixes him before we can legally kick his stinking racist ass out of office.
The defense rests people. Read this thread over.
If the unemployment rate drops, or he attacks Iran, or is perceived to have allowed Israel to do so (and the last 2 would enhance his political stature), everyone hinting he might be a muslim, maybe kinda ..., will be left way out in fringe land.
BTW, in parallel and with identical reasoning, William Cohen, former Main rep, Senator, and SecDef is a jew. Of course he goes to church, his kids are christian and so is his wife, and they celebrate christmas but no jewish holidays, but according to jewish doctrine he is a jew? AYFKM?
Anyone want to claim he is a jew?
It's america, you are what you claim to be in your heart
For better or worse elections are about PERCEPTIONS.
Want to be perceived as fringe? Want have your positions perceived as belonging to fringe? Want to see small govt supporters successfully linked to the fringe? Want to see tax limiters and budget cutters perceived as belonging to the fringe?
This is past birther stuff.
Rahm is PRAYING more visible republicans jump on this.
Rahm is praying Dick Armey, Kudlow, CNBC hosts and the others SLIP and join this.
The same % that think he is muslim thinks 9/11 was a govt job. Are truthers fringe? Think they won't deny this based on Bldg 7 or some other such set of 'facts' coolly laid out?
Repeat after me....
Barack Obama is ACTUALLY a Christian.
Make the issue disappear by being PERCEIVED as reasonable.
Fringe has nothing to do with the facts on election day, it has to do with where your positions are on the bell curve. How many positions do you want to take >3 SD's to the side?
DO I HAVE TO SPELL IT OUT ANY MORE CLEARLY?
When Obama claims he is a muslim, or commits some act of shahada, you can call him a muslim, minus that, the public perception that tea party, anti jihad forces claim he is a muslim will be a good thing to happen to him and the positions he believes in.
BTW, my congregation ACCEPTS ALL RELIGIONS, are we christian? Muslim? Buddhist (we have 3)?
Wright accepts muslims or ANYONE who might hate the founding values is my bet on that criterion.
Actually, I agree it is probably useless, and perhaps worse than useless, to bring this up politically. Not because it isn't true, or because it isn't significant, but because yes a lot of people will find it impossible to get their heads around the concept. However, convenience does not = facts.
Rahm Emmanuel is a political thug who will use anything to hold on to power.
However, I will NOT "repeat after me" for you, Epam, or anyone else. I will not try to be "PERCEIVED as reasonable" by lying. At most, Obama is partly Christian. He's also partly Muslim, NOI, black liberation theology, and who knows what else. That is a FACT. That it is politically inconvenient to our side as well as theirs doesn't make it any less of a fact. It impacts his attitude about the role of Islam in the world so it is significant. The fact that there are too many idiots out there who can't process that means it's probably useless to try to bring it up, but that doesn't change the facts.
I was christened and went to church for 10 years. Does that mean I'm still a Christian even though I became an atheist 50 years ago? I think Obama is at least partly a Muslim and I DO NOT THINK 9/11 WAS A GOVERNMENT JOB? Who the hell are you to tell me I do? I'm Objectivist. I have been effing "fringe" all my life. If some idiot who can't understand the concept of scyncretism wants to say, duhhhhh, dat mean's she's a "birfer", then that idiot will never be able to figure out anything about the threat of Islam either. Imam Feisal Rauf is Muslim Brotherhood right down to his bones. Am I supposed to deny that too, in order to appear "reasonable"?
'Imam Feisal Rauf is Muslim Brotherhood right down to his bones. Am I supposed to deny that too, in order to appear "reasonable"?'
Of course not, but if you want to make that point stick, you had better be perceived as reasonable to begin with.
Outside this blog, how many people would believe Rauf to be what the Brotherhood really means? How many understand what the MB is?
We have to speak in a way to be understood and BELIEVED.
Sometimes that is uncomfortably restricting.
That means we have to speak to people who are worried about paying for health insurance as #1 (and who is to say to them it isn't) that Rauf is MB and that because he is MB they should support the idea that the mosque should be moved and that THAT is important to devote mental time and energy to.
If it was to be easy, we could get trained dogs to do it.
