Total amount of bailout dollars commited to Shittybank by the government/Treasury Dept on April 13, 2009

$1,122,277,484

Amount Shittybank disbursed to homeowners through October, 2010

$27,914,263

And they're not even the biggest criminals involved in this fiasco.

The Treasury set aside/commited $50,000,000,000 for this show and now expects to spend only a small fraction of that helping homeowners.

Amount Shittybank disbursed to Midnight Rider in his mortgage modification

$0

BECAUSE, even though he's been unemployed 14 months his mortgage is less than 31% of his household income (nevermind other bills involved even though they took all that information), he has ample cash reserves (oh really?!?) and he is not delinquent.

Citibank only got 1.1 billion?

I'm surprised.

Your chance of getting any of that is about 1 in 1.1 billion.

You're more optimistic than I am

My more paranoid mind tells me, the Obama/Bush Administrations decided to take up a collection from the American taxpayers a few years back, and distribute the money to those not in need (the banks, etc.) before the whole shithouse goes up in flames. My more paranoid mind says, they know what is coming and they figure they had better dole the goods out for the rebuilding process afterward.

My more reasonable mind tells me this is too long term a plan for the greedy minds of our elites.

The fact that we give GE bailout money and they use it to build factories in China, so they can ship our jobs over there tells me my paranoid mind may not be paranoid enough.

You know, when shit is this fucked up, easy solutions to complex questions may be exactly what we need.

For instance, say your enemy has a list of grievances a mile long. Say they are reasonable. Say he is angry with you, wants you to address the grievances, and is willing to kill you if you do not. Say you have grievances as well, but he does not understand them in the least (for instance, he is a human rights abusing communist nation, while you are the greatest force for good the world has ever seen, a beacon of freedom, a city on a hill, without which the world would lose hope).

Yes, the grievances make sense. We owe China piles of cash.

And, it would be a long, arduous process to figure out how to pay off that debt.

It would be a complex answer.

The simple answer is to tell China to go fuck themselves.

Sarah Palin might just be the only person in America who has the balls to offer up such a simple answer to the complex dilemma we find ourselves in.

I know this sounds crazy.

But, here's the truth; China has been funding the Islamists, through Iran, Syria, and North Korea. They are making war on us through proxies, and we are allowing them to kill us on the economic battlefield.

If we do not hit them back on the economic battlefield, we are fools.

That's weird. I was thinking along those same lines when reading and commenting on AoW's Is Any Real Recovery post possible yesterday.

It's all very nice to be the gtreatest force for good the world has ever known but not a whole lot of use when your own people are going around the bowl and down the whole.

The more the U.S. economy tanks, the worse things will be for most countries around the world.

MR's point is very well taken:

It's all very nice to be the gtreatest force for good the world has ever known but not a whole lot of use when your own people are going around the bowl and down the whole.

Maybe what we're seeing right now is an attempt at worldwide redistribution of wealth. Good luck with that. We'll all be living in a shit hole, then!
