Canada: public school cafeteria allows Islamic prayers

The picture is taken from the back of the cafeteria. In the distance are the boys. They’re male, so they get to sit up front at prayers. Behind them are the girls. They’re female, so they have to sit behind the boys because they’re second-class citizens...
Menstruating girls, at the very back, do not take part.
Segregation in Canada... allowed by the Toronto District School Board...

Try using the word "CHRIST" in that prayer and watch what happens

As I linked in the original post: other prayers that are not Muslim ones are disallowed, that is, forbidden. So, we don't have to be very imaginate to consider what would happen...

Epaminondas,

Someone should ask the school board what they would do if a group of Christians demanded the same thing. I don't know if they officially have the Separation of Church and State in the Canadian constitution, but they should. Even ignoring everything else, Its not right for the state to give one religion special treatment like this.

Claudia,

I think they need to ram the school board's own hypocrisy down their throat, and if Muslims don't like not having a Mosque in a public school, tough. Tell them to pound sand.

Religion does not belong in public school, just as facts do not belong in religion!
