Funniest Story of The Year: Members of Congress Might Flee Their Jobs Because of The Rising Cost Of Health Insurance Under Obamacare? Some Fear "Brain Drain"

Oh, for God's sake. You can't make this stuff up.

I mean, how could anyone even dare to say something so stupid? LOL

From Politico:
Obamacare? We were just leaving ...

Dozens of lawmakers and aides are so afraid that their health insurance premiums will skyrocket next year thanks to Obamacare that they are thinking about retiring early or just quitting.
The fear: Government-subsidized premiums will disappear at the end of the year under a provision in the health care law that nudges aides and lawmakers onto the government health care exchanges, which could make their benefits exorbitantly expensive.
If the issue isn’t resolved, and massive numbers of lawmakers and aides bolt, many on Capitol Hill fear it could lead to a brain drain just as Congress tackles a slew of weighty issues — like fights over the Tax Code and immigration reform.
What would we do without them?

These people have such an inflated sense of their own importance. They're the people who passed Obamacare in the first place. A law that poll after poll has shown, the American people want repealed.

The law is poised to destroy our economy, and it is my belief Obamacare will collapse under the weight of it's own stupidity within three years.

Tens of millions of people are going to lose access to their healthcare as Employers realize it's just too damn expensive to cover their employees anymore.

Hundreds of thousands more will outright lose their jobs as employers will decide that keeping the health insurance benefit is more important than employing the entire existent workforce.'

And the people on the Hill are worried about a BRAIN DRAIN?

MORE THOUGHTS expressed in an email conversation between myself and a friend:

Me:
Something weird about that article, however...
Why would anyone quit a job like that because their healthcare costs more?
Honestly, the doesn't make sense.
Those guys don't work in Congress for the pay they receive.
Friend:
You're right. And besides, Congressmen have other ways of making money besides just their paycheck/bennies for being a Congressman. Both while in Congress but also (especially) after, probably.
Thinking about it, it must be the aides that everyone is worried will exodus. Which makes sense. It's gotta be the aides that do all the real work. It's not like Nancy Pelosi sat down in front of Microsoft Word and wrote Obamacare in furious typing sessions.
And the aides probably don't get paid all that much, or at least *feel like* they don't because they live in constant jealousy of all the wealthy bigshots around them, etc. So this article is Politico reporting on a DC-culture whisper concern: how do we keep our underpaid aides happy so that they don't leave us hanging and force us to do real work (or expose our hollowness)?

'Brain Drain'? There are brains in Washington? Who would have thunk it.

But, wait, think about it;
if congress leaves en masse,
there will be no need for a coup,
Obama will simply be the only one left.

That being said, I still want them ALL gone.

I used to think it was crazy to say stuff like that, and I do actually like a few, but the whole system is fucked up and we need to start over.
