Given what was going on in NV over the last week, worries about this are simply NOT PARANOID, and attempts to stigmatize criticism of these purchases by labeling them as paranoid are attempts to shush a slowly boiling frog population

It’s not just the USPS that is stocking up on ammo.
A little more than a year ago, the Social Security Administration put in a request for 174,000 rounds of “.357 Sig 125 grain bonded jacketed hollow-point” bullets.
Before that, it was the Department of Agriculture requesting 320,000 rounds. More recently, the Department of Homeland Security raised eyebrows with its request for 450 million rounds — at about the same time the FBI separately sought 100 million hollow-point rounds.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration also requested 46,000 rounds.
Philip Van Cleave, president of the Virginia Citizens Defense League, asked: why exactly does a weather service need ammunition?
"NOAA — really? They have a need? One just doesn’t know why they’re doing this," he said. "The problem is, all these agencies have their own SWAT teams, their own police departments, which is crazy. In theory, it was supposed to be the U.S. marshals that was the armed branch for the federal government."

It’s time to shrink, delete, eliminate and make sense of the size, scope and purpose of every federal agency with arms. These people’s careers BELONG TO US. Their pay is OURS, before we ALLOW them to use it, and WE are responsible for how that PAY OF OURS is utilized.
The post office does not need arms. BLM does NOT need arms. We have an FBI, US Marshalls, and these people NEED to be called in and every time that happens you can bet this HAS TO BE JUSTIFIED. And it is THAT reason which has seen every agency try to justify it’s needs for armed ASSHOLES enforcing the petty authority of self arrogating career executive branch diminutive emperors with too small penises.
SPEAK, People!

I believe the whole concept of policing has been lost in this country. The idea is to give a firearm and a badge to some deputized good guys to protect the innocent citizenry from the violent criminal minority.
This was never meant to include the serving of warrants and subpoenas to non-violent tax cheats, squatters, dopers, and guitar makers by small armies of paramilitary operators.
The populace needs to wake up to this.
