Iraqi Kurdish President Massoud Barzani gave his strongest-ever indication on Monday that his region would seek formal independence from the rest of Iraq.

The USA should be behind this 100% and be prepared to offer all aid to a people who are DOING IT THEMSELVES.
It is in our interest.
It is the most moral outcome.
It supports freedom.
We should be welcoming a change as the only way though and out of the middle east cataclysm of oil sheikdoms, brutal national dictatorships, shaky royalties, and Ikwhan and Hojatieh freaks.
We should be RIDING THE WAVE with allies, not with the Morsi’s.

Indeed...and may the Kurds of Turkey, Iran, and Syria join in the creation of a modern Kurdistan. The Azeri's of Iran break away to join their brothers on the west bank of the Caspian. Nothing could be finer. And the sooner Morsi hangs the better.
