Russia orders US aircraft out of Syrian Skies. US claims it will not comply

Russia has demanded that American warplanes exit Syrian airspace immediately, aUS official told Fox News on Wednesday.
The official said that Russian diplomats sent an official message to the US ordering American planes out of Syria, adding that Russian fighter jets were now flying over Syrian territory, according to the report.
US military sources told the news outlet that US planes would not comply with the Russian demand.
“There is nothing to indicate that we are changing operations over Syria,” a senior defense official told Fox.
The Russian parliament on Wednesday unanimously granted President Vladimir Putin the right to deploy the country’s military in Syria, a move a top Kremlin aide said related only to the air force.

Here's my take on it.

NOTHING is going to happen if America doesn't comply. Both countries will continue bombing random targets (although I think Russia has a much clearer plan than Obama ever did).

However, if Obama acts like Obama and complies, Putin is going to take center stage as the "leader who knows how to lead". I mean America has already lost credibility in most of the world, this will be a huge blow to whatever respect the rest of the world has left for America.

Putin would have never moved the way he did on Syria (and Ukraine) if American leadership wasn't as weak as it is. Oil prices being down are really bad for Putin but Obama being in the White House is an awesome opportunity for Putin to keep his support at home and appear as a hero abroad. Economics can go to hell.

I think Obama is going to comply, sooner or later. Cuba was about to go bust and finally after 60 years Cubans were on the brink of freedom and Obama stepped in to save the commies and that resulted in Castros coming out on top. Same thing, I'm afraid, is going to happen here.

This time though, its not just going to help Putin but will damage American leadership so much that whoever takes over next will either continue to run America into the ground or have to be an extremely strong person to rebuild America back to greatness.

I think you're right. The US will make a few more weak stabs at doing something in Syria, and then Obama will "Negotiate" some sort of "copperation" agreement with Russia which will really just be backing down and handing Putin the keys to the world.

Kerry has already signaled compliance by saying "deconfliction."

Russia rising!
