Chelsea Manning is not a woman
Chelsea Manning is a man who is still XY who had his penis sliced - and inverted and inserted into a surgically constructed opening - who is also taking female hormones.
People who refer to him as a her and say she when referring to him are as deluded as Manning; it is a mass delusion.

It is mental illness and it should be treated in compassionate manner with persistent psychiatric treatment, anti-anxiety and anti-psychosis medications.
As a nurse, I have wept with a man who lost his penis to cancer. As a nurse, I could never shed a tear with a "Chelsea Manning" for deliberate acts of assisted self-abusive behavior.
