Off subject but...holy crap! Two weeks ago I was celebrating the primary defeat of #NeverTrump Rep Mark Sanford (my Congressman SC-1). Today, the woman who defeated him is in the hospital in serious condition after she was nearly killed last night in car wreck.

No tin-foil hat needed, she was hit head-on by a car driving in the wrong lane. The at-fault driver was killed.

Prayers up and thanks.

I read about that. Katie Arrington. Horrible.

From first Anon poster: I have no doubt that this was totally an accident. No need to go conspiracy on this. The Dems believe this is a winnable race for them since Sanford is gone. Given the Portland-ization of Charleston over the last decade, it's gonna be close.

But my main concern is for Katie, she is a good soul. I got intentions for her at Mass tomorrow. Appreciate any spiritual help. Thanks again.

Immediate thought of Michael Hastings firey crash. Accidents can be manipulated externally. More information about the type of vehicle which hit Arrington would be helpful to dismissing such concerns.

Currently, there’s nothing to stop anyone with malicious intent and some computer-programming skills from taking command of your vehicle. After gaining access, a hacker could control everything from which song plays on the radio to whether the brakes work.

Opposing thoughts to above:

KLPC: Son of woman killed in crash that injured Katie Arrington: "I'm going to miss her"
===>"CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Less than 24 hours after a crash that injured GOP congressional candidate Katie Arrington, the son of the woman in the other vehicle who was killed is speaking out.

Helen White's son, Samuel, was woken up by the news Friday night while he was sleeping. Samuel White lives just four trailers down from his mom in Ravenel, less than a mile from the scene of the crash on Highway 17.

"My mom, she had her own ways, but she was a loving person, she was starting to get it together," White said. "Helen, she would make you laugh, she would tell you just the way that it is. She wouldn't hide nothing."

Helen left behind Samuel and two other sons who chose not to speak. Samuel White said he last saw his mother Friday morning, and she called later in the day.

"She called and said 'where you at' I said I'm in West Ashley I'll be home in a little bit,'" White said. "She said 'baby I love you' and that was the last time I talked to her."

White added that his mother enjoyed sitting on her porch and he would see her almost every morning.

"I'm going to miss her," he said.

When asked about the high-profile nature of the crash and that it involved Katie Arrington, White had no comment.

"We got to pull together and stick together and stay strong," White said. "I just want everyone to know I love my mom and I just want everybody to keep her in their prayers."

Katie Arrington and her friend, Jacqueline Goff, were headed south along Highway 17 in Adams Run when their vehicle was struck by White's vehicle driving in the wrong direction in the same lane, Charleston County Sheriff's Capt. Roger Antonio said.

Arrington defeated Representative Mark Sanford in the Republican Primary for South Carolina's District One Congressional seat. Her Democratic opponent in the November general election, Joe Cunningham, stated he was suspending all campaign activities until further notice.

Highway 17’s four lanes. The #DeepState op team that controlled the head-on car wouldn’t know in which lane the Katie Arrington car was driving, nor could account for a possible blocking car in the 2d lane. They’d want to stage crash on a 2 lane road. https://goo.gl/maps/n7pUEdCGP2k …
