In a December 28, 2006 interview with the Iranian website Baztab, which is affiliated with Iranian Expediency Council Secretary Mohsen Rezai, Iranian Presidential Advisor Mohammad Ali Ramin said that Hitler was Jewish, and that Hitler's policies were aimed at bringing about the establishment of a Jewish state. Ramin added that Hitler acted under the influence of his powerful Jewish associates and in cooperation with Britain, since the latter shared his desire to force the Jews out of Europe. I'm in need of some info, people. Is anyone out there aware of an identity-theft scam being aimed specifically at military-connected people? The case involves an elderly widow who banks at an Air Force facility and who was contacted by phone by men claiming to be from Medicare who tried to convince her she needed to pay several hundred $$$ for an additional card. She is a sharp elderly widow and when the first guy put his Indian-accented crony on the phone she got suspicious, hung up, and contacted everyone up to and including the Fibbies. Guess what. The buggers still got into her account. What she is wondering is, why would they pick on her? What I am wondering is, does it have anything to do with it being a bank on a military base?
Any info would be much appreciated. For obvious reasons, I can't use any names or be very specific.
Further investigation discloses that this happens to a whole lotta people in the military, as elsewhere. Nevertheless, it's nerve-jangling at how easily this crap can be pulled off.
