I love it when I get to bring forward some positive news. In the UK, police have made it clear that their recent sting operation - on the Muslim gang who wanted to kidnap and behead a "British Muslim soldier" - was successful because two decent British Muslims acted as bait:
Two British Muslim soldiers targeted by the alleged beheading gang were used in an extraordinary "sting" operation to snare their assassins, it has emerged.
The courageous pair agreed to act like "tethered goats" in an attempt to catch the extremists plotting to kidnap them.
The soldiers - who are not thought to have told their families that they were potential targets - were placed under unprecedented surveillance for weeks as officers waited for the terrorists to strike.

This is why I am not for the wholesale deportation of all Muslims. I know, and have known, decent human beings who are Muslim. These two men are examples of such decent humans. Thanks to them.

Good point here, Pastorius. As you know, I'm very pointed in my criticism of Islam. But I don't hate Muslims! I'm very glad to read this article--warms my heart.

Many of them are intimidated. Better than we, they understand that the next internet-beheading-plot might successfully target them.
They do need to speak out, though, even if anonymously on the internet.
Yes Nevsky, you are right. If they don't speak out, then we have to take it on faith that they exist. Faith will continue to run in shorter and shorter supplies the more times we get hit.

Of course that's what it says in the Koran. But, just as there are Christians who don't really know what it says in the Bible, and there are Christians who know, but still don't follow what it says in the Bible, so there are Muslims who don't follow the Koranic exhortation to wage Jihad on the Infidels.

Apparently, it wasn't just two British Muslim soldiers who were targetted. 25 Muslim soldiers are on the hit list! The list's information is so accurate that the military brass are now panicking over a possible mole in the Ministry of Defence.

Nevsky, just saw your comment about muslims avoiding the mosque, and I agree.
I know only two muslims I have been close enough to for this to come up. They don't know each other. Both are docs in research, cardiac surgeons. One is from pakistan and one from egypt. Both used the phrase they are here to 'escape the madness'.
Both stopped taking their families to the mosque by 2001. One, who needed the help of a very conservative US Senator to remain here and head for citizenship told me, after the '4000 jews stayed home story' told me that prominent members of the mosque there (in the south) told him it was 6000 ...he said to me 'NOW you understand these people, and what is really going on'.
He won't speak out, IMHO, he will stay away. It is for this reason, that fine men like this won't act, are afraid for the families TO act and mark them all, that I believe domestically, we have to treat the pernicious belief set being taught, just like we did the KKK, and Aryan Nation. Religion is no excuse for what is taught.
BTW, the brits who happen to be muslims acted as they did because that's what they are as a priority, BRITS.

I think you ought to write a post on that.
We, supposedly, "bash" Muslims here constantly. What we are doing, in my opinion, is bashing Jihadi/Sharia-promoting Islam. Take those things out of the equation and, honestly, I don't give a shit if they call themselves Muslims or Martians, they are ok with me.
If a Muslim comes here from Pakistan to "escape the madness" and they don't
1) believe in waging Jihad against the Infidel
2) want Sharia law installed in the US,
3) believe in the subjugation of women and the burqa
then they are probably decent human beings who deserve our support and respect as much as any other citizen here in America.
However, as I said, such decent people who are Muslims are playing a dangerous game with their silence, because if they don't make their voices heard we, "Infidels" will be left with nothing to believe but that all Muslims are dangerous and they all need to be rounded up and deported.
