First Al Qaeda...and now Iranians..are operating in Gaza

For some time Israel has been fighting Islamic fundamentalist terrorist groups such as Hamas, Hezb'Allah, and Islamic Jihad. Since Israel ended their occupation of Gaza, large amounts of weapons have been pouring in...as well as terrorists from various countries.

A while back Abbas mentioned that there were al-Qaeda operatives in Gaza . . . now it seems there are also some Iranians there. This has major implications not only for Israel, but also for other (predominantly Sunni), countries in the area . . . for example, I would imagine that Egypt would not be too happy with a strong presence of Iranian Shiite extremists on their border.

This plus several interesting links related to the Israel/Arab/Iranian situation are posted here.
