I don't think I stand second to anyone in demanding that a set of secure borders exist.
But you just have to watch out WHO is in the parade along with you.... now the SPLC is one of the oldest and best anti-segregation, anti racism orgs in the USA, and played a key role in KILLING aryan nation. San Diego Minutemen Linked to White Supremacists
San Diego’s KPBS-FM, a National Public Radio affiliate, aired a story Aug. 2 detailing the links between the white supremacist activities of two high-profile supporters of the San Diego Minutemen, a nativist extremist group whose bellicose tactics and internal feuding are detailed in the current issue of the Intelligence Report.
The KPBS story revealed that San Diego Minutemen activist Ray Carney worked for 11 years as a computer expert for White Aryan Resistance, a neo-Nazi hate group lead by Tom Metzger. The story also
quotes Intelligence Project Director Mark Potok describing the white supremacist tattoos and symbols featured on a MySpace page belonging to Steven Shine, another frequent participant in San Diego Minutemen protests.
Our favorite moment in the KPBS story has Shine being interviewed by the station’s reporter “while restraining a pit-bull at a north county canyon where local Minutemen rallied to evict migrants from outdoor camps.”
Shine took down his MySpace page shortly after the Intelligence Report story came out. But we captured it for our archives before it vanished.

Sure, the minutemen need to act to distance themselves from racism, but to call for the whipping of men with whom you have an idealogical difference is the epitome of tyranny and terrorism, something I thought this blog might be against.

The main points were:
#1, I can find no definition in any dictionary that defines scourge the way you do. As a verb it means to whip, as a noun it mean affliction or plague.
#2, Without evidence of crime committed by the men in question, your calls for beatings are still wrong. They have just as much right to free speech as you or I, regardless that we disagree with them.
#3, It's all moot. The San Diego Minute Men are a distinct and separate organization from Jim Gilchrist's Minute Man Project. Seems the latter has already taken steps to distance themselves from the San Diego group.

The SPLC is an extreme lefist organisation led by a shameless opportunist named Morris Dees.
Dees first jumped on the victimhood bandwagon in the late 1970's campaigning against the US Constitution and Bill of RIGHTS and drumming up support for the revocation of the 2nd Amendment of the BoR's.
Dees' magazine, "Intelligence Report" panders to the intellectually challenged America-haters and 5th Columnists within our society. However, to paraphrase Mario Puzo; "Ain;t personal, it's only business", and business it is with Morris Dees, pandering to flakes and dividing America has made him a wealthy man.

It's on the FIRST PAGE of the second linked article(http://www.splcenter.org/intel/intelreport/article.jsp?aid=780), in paragraph seven. So, the SPLC *IS* informed, but YOU are not, even tho you linked to it and you told your readers to go there.
You say you are interested in facts, but you don't demonstrate that. You seem to be just another cut-n-paste blog, without even reading what you cut-n-paste.

More, my point goes to the Minutemen as well...If you were runnning the Minuteman project (which is a worthy and important project) why wouldn't you take every opportunity to lambast these cretins (the facts of the blog story remain unchallenged) ..since people like me who are not exactly UNINFORMED have no idea there is a difference between the groups. In fact were I in their position I'd be taking legal action (even if it failed) to force them to remove the name, JUST TO MAKE THAT POINT.
