Top UK Judge: Sharia Should Be Implemented

I say, first person we practice Sharia on is his daughter.

The most senior judge in England tonight gave his blessing to the use of
sharia law to resolve disputes among Muslims.

Lord Chief Justice Lord Phillips said that Islamic legal principles
could be employed to deal with family and marital arguments and to regulate
finance.

He declared: 'It is possible in this country for those who are entering
into a contractual agreement to agree that the agreement shall be governed by a
law other than English law.'

Why? If there is already an English law dealing with the matter, than why overlay another law on top of it, Lord Dumfuq?

Look, he even says as much himself:

In his speech in an East London mosque Lord Phillips signalled approval of
sharia principles as a means of settling disputes so long as no punishments that
conflict with the established law are involved, and as long as divorces are made
to comply with the civil law.

I hope dreams he's eating fur-burger and chokes on his own wig.

Pastorius,

Does he even know what Sharia Law is?

How long before our 9th circuit court says the same thing?

Damien,
It seems to me he does. I didn't include the whole article, but there is a link. In the rest of the article, he very clearly demonstrates that Sharia includes things which do not fit with English law.

SamenoKami,

I sincerely hope it never gets to that point.

It's the end.

Combine with the Archbishop of Canterbury and the complete picture is of a society too 'civilized' and concerned with being SEEN to be civilized to survive.

The voices in opposition of muffled and being muffled by those who KNOW BETTER.

IT IS OVER, OVER THERE
