Ah, Jaco! I listened to Camille Paglia earlier this evening, but the opening of the blog! My. Goodness. What a grabber! Who is the composer? The bells are eerily comforting. Was it Parvo, was it Gorecki? I had to keep reloading the page, so struck by it all I was. Beautiful idea, executed beautifully.

Jewel,
Glad you like the opening.

It's Arvo Part. The piece is called "In Memory of Benjamin Britten".

Warren is the guy who put it together.

Thanks.

Warren did it.

Kudos Warren, and I guess I meant Arvo Part, only it came out as Parvo...damn the nights I stay up way too late! Now I have to go get the piece of music on imeem and listen to it some more. Thanks again, fellas!

Jewel,
My cat is named Arvo P. Starvo.

The middle initial stands for Parvo.

So, his name is Arvo Parvo Starvo.

My kids hate me for that.

Not only am I not getting Arvo Part and bells, but Vlad, the dwarf, and that critter they've got on a stick have disappeared from the masthead.
