Acknowledged
Led Zeppelin loved the music of Islam. And, we love the music of Led Zeppelin.
This is based on Arab / Middle Eastern music. The "new, improved and even nastier" Islamists cannot stand it, nor any other music, from what I can tell. . .
Plenty of Christian Arabs play this type of music.
Hey - by the way - did you guys see the vid on Babba's site with the musical interpretation of the Bible verses?
Yes, if the jihadists have their way this place will be blown up into a heap of rubble as sure as any concert hall in NYC would be.
I will never forgive their blowing up those gorgeous bas-relief Buddahs. Aaauuuggghhh!
They leave nothing but rubble and misery. No singing, no instruments, no artwork at all, no education, no females(practically speaking), no beauty, kindness or love of any kind.
Just death, misery, death, torture, death, disease, death, death and more death.
This is not a "culture." It is the absolute absence of anything remotely resembling "culture." It is just DEATH. And, with apologies to JPII, such a society of DEATH should not be dignified with the designation of "culture."

This is, in my opinion, a very important admission. Muslims have contributed to the world.
They have also detracted from the world. But, we must give them credit where credit is due.
Oh I love their music, the rhythms and textures. And their art. The buildings.
