Nomination for Infidel Babe of the Week: Khatia Buniatishvili

She is as intoxicating to watch as she is to listen to. Plus, she is performing this piece in the heart of the Littlest Satan: Israel, which makes her a shoo-in for Infidel Babe of the Week.

Khatia Buniatishvili
Those Georgian women are real peaches!

Wow. That's my idea of a woman.

I know a lot of dude's like the blonde bombshell, but I like the arty chick with the dark hair and the Mediterranean face.

If I weren't already married, Jewel, I'd let you pick my wife.

As a straight woman, Jaco, I still appreciate beauty, and being the mother of 2 gorgeous redheads, and a bombshell blonde (naturals all), I still think my swarthy olive eyed dark haired Rachel is the most beautiful of the lot. I have to agree with you, Mediterranean women are exceedingly beautiful, and that is why I loved watching Katia so much in this video. She just glows with passion. It is almost as erotic as it is intoxicating to watch, because, after seeing so many homely, grizzled old men play this piece, I finally love it because of watching her.

She reminds me a bit of Rachel Weisz, one of my favorite actresses and "babes".

And, by the way, I love redheads too. Be glad I don't live anywhere near your daughters.

:)

Just kidding. I've been married 20 years (to a dark-haired, dark-skinned beauty).

She's beautiful.

Well, that's good to hear, Jaco. I have been marriaged for 26 years. From talking to you on the phone I would never have guessed you were married for 20! You sound so yootful.

My Georgian wife is not quite amused by this "babe of the week" idea/current choice. Had to explain/persuade her to take it with a grain of salt.

She suggests Malcuzynski's interpretation of Ballad #4, but since it's not on YT, Zimerman's or Peraiha's. She's a pianist, I trust her.

Perahia's was a loverly version. Very subtle, the way he plays Bach. Effortlessly. I have to google Malcuzynski, but one of the commenters on the youtube link to Buniatishvili said he thought she played like a girl, or some such thing. Meh on him. What does he know.

I rather enjoy her Concerto In 34D Major!
