Self Fulfilling Prophecy:Dep't. of Homeland Security warns of Radicals ..ON THE RIGHT

I am trying to imagine what would have come tumbling out of the media if George Bush and HIS Dept of Homeland Security had published warnings about radicals from the ACLU

But since the left is interested in social justice, those who warn against them and their methods as being ultimately fascist and ultimately using the coercive power of the federal govt as the final argument, MUST BE DISLOYAL, and interested in something EVIL.

Wash Times : The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in "rightwing extremist activity," saying the economic recession, the election of America's first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias.

A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines "rightwing extremism in the United States" as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.

"It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration," the warning says.

The White House is trying to distance itself, but give me a break. HEADS SHOULD ROLL.

The nine-page document was sent to police and sheriff's departments across the United States on April 7 under the headline, "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment."

It says the federal government "will be working with its state and local partners over the next several months" to gather information on "rightwing extremist activity in the United States."

The joint federal-state activities will have "a particular emphasis" on the causes of "rightwing extremist radicalization."

And these guys think Iraq was taking the EYE OFF THE BALL?

Let's get something straight, these people are not liberals. Men like Hubert Humphrey are SPINNING IN THEIR GRAVES.

With every step in this direction the federal authorities are guaranteeing the outcome they warn against, and it is hard not to imagine the possibility THIS IS WHAT THEY SEEK.

The 'right wing extremist' I follow is THOMAS JEFFERSON. His henchmen are Washington, Madison, Monroe, Henry, Hamilton, Adams, .....

The department of Homeland Security exists by the sufferance of the people ... and Barack Obama is responsible.

Another step in creating a solid opposition.

I put what I think is the original document up although I'm still not completely sure it is legit when I consider which sites I saw it at. See post right above this one. If it's not legit then I will happily plaster BULLSHIT all over it. If it is it is hugely troubling.

Let me clarify. I first saw it at Getting Hot and Heavy which I do not consider alarmist at all and in fact SHE was questioning it's authenticity. She got it from Rodger Hedgecock, not exactly extremesit either. But when searching info for it it was showing up at places like Infowars, Abovetopsecret, Alex Jones etc which didn't exactly give me the greatest cinfidence in it.

MR thanks for posting a link to my blog. I searched all day for a hint that document might be a fake--I hoped it would be. Michelle Malkin posted last night she believed it to be genuine, based on her sources inside the HDS. It was also referenced in American Thinker yesterday.

Interestingly, I posted about it on my local paper blog, it was left up all day, then after I posted my links to Malkins blog cite, my blog was removed from the community blog page--and the only way to view it now is if you go directly to my blog.

Just fax the thing to your rep / senators, state rep / state senator and ask them to find out if it is real. Answering to citizens about the government is part of their jobs.

Call and make sure that they have the fax. Then schedule a meeting with any or all of the above.

You can schedule meetings with most political representatives online in many cases, or you can attend a coffee, or a "townhall" meeting.

That's what I am planning to do later this month (after the Tea Party stuff).

Mary -- no problem. It troubled me enough that I sent it to Pasto for his thoughts because, at the time, I couldn't find it anywhere but conspiracy type sites. But then Epa put this piece up and since Malkin has now apprently confirmed I give you ONE GREAT BIG KUDOS AND

NICE CATCH! WELL DONE INDEED!

Well, Drudge hasn't.

jdamn,
That's a funny thing to say. Everyone's wrong sometimes. And, all Drudge does is link to articles without comment.

And, why was Pamela brought into this anyway?
