As To Epa's Concerns About Cantor's Loss Meaning Nothing - STOP WORRYING: "Why We Fired Eric Cantor"

The Great Reconciling Has Begun

The debts must be paid, and the amounts are very, very large.

From the Federalist:
Here’s all you need to know about Eric Cantor’s stunning loss in the Republican primary for Virginia’s seventh congressional district.
For almost as long as I’ve lived here, which is coming up on 20 years now, the purpose of the seventh district has been to re-elect Eric Cantor every two years.
It’s a strongly Republican district that spans across a very conservative stretch of rural Central Virginia, from the Richmond suburbs to Culpeper.
So what were we going to do, vote for a Democrat? No, we were going to vote for Cantor. And Cantor knew it.
Because he didn’t have to worry too much about getting re-elected every two years, his political ambition was channeled into rising through the hierarchy of the House leadership.
Rise he did, all the way up to the #2 spot, and he was waiting in the wings to become Speaker of the House.
The result was that Cantor’s real constituency wasn’t the folks back home. His constituency was the Republican leadership and the Republican establishment. That’s who he really answered to.
Guess what? Folks in the seventh district figured that out.

Unfortunately the folks in my home state (SC) didn't figure it out. I went to my polling place at 1:30PM to vote against Lindsay Graham and there were more poll workers than voters. And this is the polling place for 5 suburban precincts. Talk about apathy.

This may take years, but this is what it's going to look like.

Sharpton: Brat Win Over Cantor A Threat To Civil Rights

Brat HAS GOT to get elected in Nov for this to be meaningful. If this is just, well Cantor=Lugar then it means nothing NATIONAL. Just some guy being humbled by his constituents who saw thru him. Fine by me. Up to them
