Here is who should be REALLY WORRIED over Cantor’s TROUNCING

Hillary. Old ideas. Old problems, Establishment values. Ties to HUGE TBTF entities. Faved by media. Crying poor as a millionaire.
How happy is Elizabeth Warren this AM?

Interesting point.

I believe Hillary was finished when Ted Kennedy endorsed Obama in 2008. The NE Democrat establishment never liked the smell of the Clintons and they no longer served a useful purpose. Kennedy recognized, correctly, that Obama was a much more direct road to serfdom and the Dems quickly fell into the lemming line.

You cannot now succeed in the Demo party unless you are a far left radical Marxist. The "conservative" Democrat exists today only as an occasionally useful fiction.

A Warren type candidate reflects the mainstream views of the current Demo party and the vast majority of its enablers, financiers, and fellow travelers. Right down to the fraudulent resume.

The only question is whether the people of the nation are willing to sit by and let this disaster run its course. I give it 50/50. A bare majority of Americans now know in their bones that D.C. has become a huge sucking black hole serving the politically connected and no one else. At the same time, an even larger majority has become, to some extent, dependent on this monster and therein lies the rub.

Conditions are not like 1860. Not a single state could survive on its own without the federal printing press to balance the books so individual- or even group - secession is not a viable option in the short run.

I fear that only a real collapse of the federal authority, which will be of monetary origin, will cause this nation to change course and that will not be pretty road. Perhaps an unrecoverable disaster.

The parasite is consuming the host.

BTW: look for the federal government to move to eliminate and outlaw cash transactions in the next couple of years.

Draw a line (an XL pipeline?) from ND to TX and those states could make it easily-economically and politically. But the federal govt literally could not afford to let them go.

I have to respectfully disagree.

I don't believe any state, even ND or TX, could survive in the short run. Even a rural renegade would collapse when the surrounding federal entity embargoed the local economy. Foreign trade could not make up the difference fast enough. What would ND do with all that oil? Drink it?

The SSA checks stop coming, the EBT cards run dry. If this happens in even a relatively small urban area the city will be looted and burned to the ground within days. No local or state law enforcement could handle it. And the state National Guards are largely funded by the feds anyway.

Many of our rural areas are even more dependent on federal transfer payments than their urban counterparts (see Eastern Kentucky or West Virginia). Rioting may not be a feature but banditry will. And banditry stops commerce dead.

Also keep in mind that any state that declares secession becomes foreign soil and posse comitatus no longer applies.

Yes there are states with viable long term economies but I don't see how any could survive a first year.

Re: what the Anonymous guy is writing,

What is the purpose of this obviously well-thought out mass population transfer, Epa?

As Reliapundit wrote, it is Cloward-Piven on a massive scale

One has to wonder if for Obama the stakes are even high than we would have ever imagined:

to end Capitalism once and for all.

There's an article in the National Journal which Michael Medved was talking about yesterday on his radio show. The article talks about Democrats who are bailing on Obama.

Medved called the article "devastating" and seemed to think it is evidence of a landslide against Obama.

Then you look and see what Obama is actually effecting and one has to wonder if Obama really needs any support whatsoever.

I don't think he does.

He gets away with everything he wants to do.

This immigration "crisis" is not being discussed in the media to my knowledge.

There is something very terrible going on.

my comment only on viability of oil rich states.

Article is by Ron Fournier a staunch center-left supporter who himself is disgusted, and was emailed by a PRINCIPLE CLOSE ADVISER to WH professing 'I'm done with this shit'. I am guessing Schumer.

I don't think ANYONE can doubt that what is going on in the SW is the system, being overwhelmed.
No one can question that this is a key part of Cloward Piven, but as the primary last night shows, we aren't even close. In fact we might be closer to a reaction precluding this from happening. IF BRat is elected a VERY strong msg has been sent.

I think Obama is now engaged in fulfilling the promises he made all thru 07-08 REGARDLESS of the political cost because he sees in the mirror the man who answered the questions of this time.

I see the immigration issue in Drudge, and on the radio. I see it on Fox, and now it IS being discussed because so many pundits consider Cantor getting creamed because of it.

It IS filling up twitter
