We SHOULD have gotten Bergdahl back (for WHATEVER awaits him), but not with this Herschel Walker trade, yet Obama insisted on doing this rather than writing a check (which WAS possible).
Why?
I really don’t get the confusion. Barack Obama’s MAIN aptitude is winning elections, and managing that process within his ideological framework and understanding of humans.
In the job:
He CANNOT work with others, and prefers not to have personal contact. He cannot stand critical analysis. He sees little reason to compromise both because HE IS RIGHT, and because political gain can be made from that. He sees opposition to his good as varying degrees of evil, and finally he draws to himself others whose Manichean view of reality POLARIZE the entire body politic into paralysis. Worst of all, this renders him unhappy in doing the job, and therefore he becomes sloppy over critical details which grow into bitter realities and thus is and leads in incompetence.
HE CAN’T DO THE JOB HE IS MOST QUALIFIED ***ONLY*** TO WIN VIA SELF PROMOTION
More than any ideology, THIS is why we are witnessing in our lifetimes the worst presidency in HISTORY
