MoveOn takes credit for Trump rally cancellation? What do they think they accomplished?

This morning upon listening I have no doubt that Chicago police felt they could control the streets outside the U. Illinois event.
I have no doubt that Mr. Trump could be protected, although I am certain that the secret service detail was adamant he not appear.
I am CERTAIN that the Trump rally was cancelled because of concern that people INSIDE the rally would be injured or worse.

MOVEON IS CONGRATULATING ITSELF BECAUSE THEY COULD ENDANGER PEOPLE - MANY UNDECIDED (via TV interview) WHO CAME TO SEE WHAT TRUMP HAD TO SAY, TO SUCH A DEGREE THE EVENT WAS CANCELLED.

Anyone want to wager on what this will mean for Trump’s polling and finish in that primary?
I saw people shrieking into the TV that hate speech was not free speech. I have to wonder if they have any education.
I was inside MANY demonstrations 67-71, and the idea then was to raise the consciousness of those who saw us on TV about the war in Vietnam so that support would evaporate. And then the Chicago police actually were te ones to riot in 1968, live on TV.
Last night these people showed up for the express purpose of denying the public the right to decide. We have seen this kind of political tactic before and we don;t have to go thru who that has been SEVERAL TIMES thru the 20th century
Okay Bernie, this is now on you, to tell your followers what went on last night is horrific to the American process and totally unacceptable, and you neither need nor want support whose goal is to control the free speech and the electoral process by endangering others?
I, PRIOR to this point, am a very reluctant Trump vote. I believe in high levels immigration if others wish to become Americans in large numbers, I believe in ZERO ILLEGAL immigration. I believe in FAIR TRADE, and can see with my own eyes what Free Trade has done (so does Bernie).
However, a good look at the folks last night and both WHAT they want to accomplish and HOW they intend to go about their business is awakening something else.
Do they really want this to be Rome in 100BC?
That took a while but it did not end well.
Let’s be clear, this could not have helped Trump more, than if he himself intended this as a provocation to violent opponents.

As I typed in over at my own site:

The news media are blaming Donald Trump for the rally.

And -- Get this! -- Ted Cruz said that Trump bears some responsibility for what happened in Chicago.

"When a political candidate cannot campaign without violence breaking out, we have lost our country." Thus said my liberal American History college professor in 1972 when students in class were cheering after George Wallace was shot. And, as a staunch member of the Civil Rights Movement, that professor despised Wallace.

------------

BTW, that American History professor was the best professor I had in college. She was fair in every respect. Her classes were always packed to capacity.

I just wrote a fellow blogger prior to reading this post and noted regarding the link below, that the GOP may be running false flag operations against Trump:

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/%e2%80%98get-%e2%80%99em-out%e2%80%99-racial-tensions-explode-at-donald-trump%e2%80%99s-rallies/ar-AAgF98g?ocid=spartandhp

This is no different than the unknown hooded men conveniently videotaped targeting illegal immigrants in Europe.

Both events, seem staged.

re: "Ted Cruz blames Donald Trump for this hate."

Any claim to Constitutional acumen is now called into serious question.

Incredibly disappointing, if not shameful stance for Mr. Cruz to take. Not presidential at all.
Makes one wonder, did he hand over his milk money to the class bully too?

I agree that Cruz looked disgustingly opportunistic last night.

This successful event crashing could become the new norm for a conservative rally on diverse socialistic turf.

While I do think it will hgelp Trump at the polls, I wouldn't be surprised if it lowered participation levels at his future urban rallies.

20000 people and only 3 fistfights. I find that deeply disturbing as well. In a real civil war there would have been at least a thousand casualties.

If these rallies continue to draw violent protests the fewer people that will show up for them will be the kind of people hoping to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights.

Epa, I think you do need to list times when this kind of thing has happened before.

I will name some times, in your absence, but I think you should add, cuz you know the history better (maybe I'm the only one here who does not know the history very well)

1) Communists taking over SAG (the event that inspired Reagan to become an anti-Communist)

2) Klan bombing church in Mobile
