Vlad is feeling his oats:
Alexander Zasypkin, Russia's ambassador to Lebanon on Tuesday said any US missiles fired at Syria would be shot down and the launch sites targeted, echoing a statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Russian chief of staff.
Mr Zasypkin told Hezbollah's al-Manar TV: "If there is a strike by the Americans then... the missiles will be downed and even the sources from which the missiles were fired."
Following the back and forth firey statements with Russia, the US President declared the Washington's relationship with Moscow was "worse now than it has ever been" including the Cold War.
He tweeted: "Our relationship with Russia is worse now than it has ever been, and that includes the Cold War.
"There is no reason for this. Russia needs us to help with their economy, something that would be very easy to do, and we need all nations to work together. Stop the arms race?"
Earlier several reports claimed US coalition aircraft were spotted flying over Iraq and Jordan, heading towards Syria.
Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and “smart!” You shouldn’t be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 11, 2018

Putin is welcome to engage with any assets he wants to lose.
semi-reliable sources have indicated that all Russian ships that can sail have left their naval base in Syria. And the US is relocating all our assets in Turkey and Qatar to Eastern Europe and Saudi Arabia.
.... but if Russia has any intentions of firing at the source of attacks on Syria, why was Israel unmolested earlier this week after they killed Iranian forces in Syria with missiles.
Russia is in a tough spot here. They're about to be embarrassed in their role as Syria's guaranteer of security. But they would lose all their naval and air assets in the region if they attacked a NATO vessel in the Med. If they help shoot down an allied plane over Syria with a SAM thats one thing, but the price they would pay for attacking a US flagged ship is too high for them.
..... the only way I see now for them to save face is get all their assets out of Syria then turn around and blame Iranian operative for the gassing.
They really dont want none of the US Navy or Air Force this far away from Russia. They've never, to my knowledge, attacked a US naval vessel in past proxy wars (Vietnam or Korea) .... I'm sure there is a sound military reason for this.
There best bet is to lay low and let this crazy motherfucker get impeached before he kicks their asses too bad.
