Huffington Post writer Luke O’Brien recently discovered Amy’s true identity.
He harassed Amy, her husband and her family. Luke O’Brien called her husband’s employer and had him fired.

This is what happens when someone speaks out against the narrative and gets the attention of the mainstream media.
Personal story....
My mother was an activist when I was a 3-8 years old. She frequently called in to talk radio; in those days, callers were few and far between and, therefore, became local celebs of sorts.
My life was threatened. Obscene and threatening phone calls started rolling in on our home phone -- to the point that i was forbidden to answer the phone. My parents changed our number to an unlisted one, and that step helped. But that step didn't prevent activist thugs from showing up at our front door.
I had to be watched like a hawk at all times, and my parents were certainly of the free-range type. That kind of parenting has to stop for my safety.
My parents armed themselves at all times -- even when my father merely went out the door to tend the vegetable garden (one acre in size and out of a straight line of vision from the house).
As crazy as it sounds, my father trained me in firearms use when I was 6 years old. By the time I was 7 years old, I had my own rifle.
My mother was a Civil Service employee with many years of service, so her job wasn't threatened. But my father? He couldn't be fired because he was a long-term employee with union protection. But Dad paid a price -- never mind that he was a member of the labor union: he was consistently "bumped" to the bus garage in the worst section of town.
Dad was accosted once and only once as he walked from his parking space downtown to the garage. He won the fight. I won't go into the details as to how he won the fight.
The situation my mother's activism had put us in was that bad. I remember.
My mother ceased her activism and, on doctor's orders, quit watching the news and getting home delivery of the newspaper at the point that she had her first heart attack (at age 44, BTW -- stress). I was 8.5 years old when that happened. Within a few years, everything calmed down. By the time I was 12, life was normal again.
Today one cannot even find my mother's name in a Google search.
It was for the above reasons that I promised myself never to become an activist.
Then 9/11 happened, so here I am at IBA.

To protect what anonymity you have. Me...I won't even come out from behind Anonymous. Because, as you describe, the loonies are everywhere. And while most are harmless blowhards it only takes one. Just ask Rep. Scalise.
People like this jerk "reporter" act as they do because they WANT violence against their political opponents. They are every bit as vile, vicious, and cowardly as Antifa. And they pay no price.

Here is the deal and it involves Constitutional right and the dynamic of a digital age.
We are guaranteed the right to life, liberty and happiness. Happiness is dependent on passion. When passion withers -so does the human frame.
Amy Mek is passionate about the whitewashing of Islamic doctrine that causes harm to other. She is a confrontational and focused micro-blogger. In her passion, she combines verifiable facts with graphics and language which may be offensive to a few.
If she had as few followers as myself, the world would not care. I am talking to myself. But she has created a substantial aggregate readership. Now, she has become someone's "problem".
The journalist with the hit piece against her seems to focus on two obsessions: Her relationship with a man in prison, and the volume of her Tweets. I do not see any real attempt to discredit her micro-blogging with a view toward spreading disinformation; exposing her for churning out fake news.
She tends to be a "trending now" blogger, which is the easiest of all tasks. Find a trending story, plug in a few personal thoughts, no research required.
But her "crime" is not her passion. The "crime" is a passion which unfurls in such a manner to attract a growing number of views.
My post on Ms. Amy Mek includes a backdrop of research and understanding of Islamic history and how we got from "there" to "here". Therein lies the difference.

The years I described were surreal. I still recall a few of the threats I heard over the telephone.
My parents kept a lot of the details from me until I was old enough to understand.
