WOW, did we [Dag] ever make a big mistake in our reportage. It turns out the Muslims are all innocent and so too is Sid Vicious Ryan. I hope they cut off my head. Good chance of it, actually.

Alvin Chand, brother of Toronto suspect Steven Vikash Chand, scoffed at the charges outside the courthouse as several officers held surveillance positions on surrounding rooftops and a helicopter circled.
"He's not a terrorist, come on, he's a Canadian citizen," Chand said of his brother. "The people that were arrested are good people. They go to the mosque. They go to school, go to college."
Aly Hindy, an imam at the Salaheddin Islamic Centre in east-end Toronto, said the centre's mosque had been monitored by security agencies for years. He said Muslims were once again being falsely accused.
"It's not terrorism. It could be some criminal activity with a few guys, that's all," said Hindy.
"We are the ones always accused."
[....]The Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations issued a release condemning terrorism "in all its forms" but also reminded that the accused are presumed innocent.
The father of accused Shareef Abdelhaleen, a 30-year-old computer programmer from nearby Mississauga, said the charges made no sense.
"I am shocked," said the Egyptian immigrant who came to Canada with his son 20 years ago and is an engineer on contract with Atomic Energy of Canada.
"It's crazy. It has no meaning whatsoever."

Well, I'm convinced!
And what about Sid Vicious Ryan of CUPE? He's a fookin' saint!
"CUPE boss explains reasons for boycott."
[....]
We have a history of supporting just causes at home and abroad. That is why our members, at their 2003 national convention, supported a resolution calling on the Israeli government to withdraw immediately from the occupied territories and to abide by the UN Resolution 242 and 338. As well, they agreed to actively work toward an end to all acts of violence that take the lives of innocent people, whether they be Palestinian or Israeli.
But they are frustrated with a government that continues to construct a wall that was declared illegal in 2004 by the International Court of Justice. They voted with many church congregations, a large number of organisations in Quebec and other unions around the world to support a boycott campaign against Israel.

OK, I'm bored. I'm not typing anything else from his letter.
But I like this line so much I'm reprinting it just because:
"It's crazy. It has no meaning whatsoever."
I so dearly want to hang Sid Vicious. Of course, the Muslims are all innocent. Sid is innocent too, as we read above, but I want to hang him anyway. Before they cut off my foolish head.

LoL. I've got another version of the same sentiment here and here
What ... Muslims ... these were all alter boys. Didn't you see all the photos of the nuns they are married to? Good boys maybe troubled but ... good boys!
So you want to hang Sid Ryan because his opinions differ from your own? That's a great message for this website to be putting out. Really takes the moral highground from the people who want to kill us because we don't think like they do.
Jay-Mac raises the issue of the day, and it's good that he does so in order that we may put to bed the idiot faction here.
Yes, there are those who think that I've called for murdering a man who thinks differently from me. What can I do? Should I torture this superhero till he learns to think a little more clearly? It's tempting. Oh, I know, I'm just that kind of guy and love killing and torturing for it's own sake. I'm also one of those who have some interest in morality rather than in moralistic posing for the sake of pretending I'm moral.
Jay-Mac is a fair enough example of those who have no real ideas of what they encounter, who drive themselves into cliches and automatic responses and self-righteous moralisms for the sake of impressing others. It's cheap and easy and if it's dirty it doens't matter much anyway because the pose will hold till the next occasion calls for something in response.
Why bother thinking when it's so much easier and immediate to toss off an angry retort? Jay-Mac is not only morally superiour to the likes of me but he's got a great mask to present to the public: a superhero. He's morally superiour. That he has no idea what the argument is is of no consequence because we are meant to approve of his disapproval of my immorality, whatever it might or might not be.
For those interested, and they must be few, turn to no dhimmitude to slog through some of my immoderate prose to find out what the argument is in slight detail. Or stay and admire Jay-Mac's shiny shoes and his beautiful reflections.
Dag,
Jay Mac is an intelligent guy, and he is not given to criticizing people like you ordinarily.
If your blog contains more of the rationality behind your call for Sid Ryan to be hanged, then why did you not include a bit of it here. For all we know, you really are advocating that the man be hung.
That is a call for his death. Jay Mac is not at all wrong in saying so.
You cheapen yourself by allowing people to think that that is your point.
Politics is not the basketball court, where someone can throw off a cheap threat. When you play politics you play with the big boys. this is serious stuff. You present yourself as a serious man, who seriously wants to bring about the end of the Dhimmi governments of Western Civilization. I am glad that there are people like you who want to accomplish this goal.
However, when, in pursuing your goal, you toss off cheap calls for the death of a public official, or when you give the appearence that that is what you are doing here on this blog, then, you are causing yourself a big problem.
As I said, you are playing with the big boys. The big boys could decide to take this seriously, and they could decide to take any number of measures.
I have to wonder if you are looking for such a fight.
Please remember that, if that is what you are doing, that you bring others into it, by involving others in your goals.
For my part, I will say, I don't think Dag really wants to kill Sid Ryan. I think Dag is given to creating streams of prose which are of interest, precisely because they are built on drama, satire, and irony.
Unfortunately, Dag did not let us in on the stream of his prose here. Instead, all we know is that he seems to being calling for the hanging of a public official.
Dag, whether you meant it or not is not the point- the point is, if we'd heard a jihadi call for the death of some politician we'd all be clamouring about it here- and rightly so.
You can call this what you want, a rhetorical flourish perhaps, but at the end of the day this is what has been publsihed on Infidel Bloggers Alliance- "I so dearly want to hang Sid Vicious. Of course, the Muslims are all innocent. Sid is innocent too, as we read above, but I want to hang him anyway."
Not a comment but a statement by one of the posters here- and that explicit call for the death of a public figure is what we're all tarnished with. You think anyone attacking any of the views expressed here is going to give a damn about anything else you've written, in that piece or anywhere else? Or is it more likely going to be "IBA calls for killing of public figure"?
OK, I'm tired of this but I'll make it plain that I do not retract anything I wrote above and have no sympathy more people who cannot discern the difference between right and wrong.
If you are completely attached to neurotic sentimentality and moral idiocy, it's not my problem. If you can't follow a logical argument, don't bother me further with your comments. If you're absorbed in censoriousness as mental habit, if you live as a professional pedant, I don't care.
You show not the first sign of understanding anything I posted above. I have to consider that either you do not care to or you cannot. In either case, I don't care any longer to deal with you.
Those of us who live in a rational world live with reality as adults. Sentimentality and posturing and neurosis and childishness will not do.
