If war is deception, then what is Israel doing? (pre 50% caffeine coffee, Sunday morning)

When the headline looks like this:

I have to question what's going on.

Hizballah and HAMAS have, via their compulsory actions to destroy the state of Israel, provided the opportunity to chase them into their innermost recesses, and ensure that all involved with them remember the fear and dread of the IDF, and IAF.

But Olmert is too busy telling the world that no 'invasion' is going ot be forthcoming, that any incursion will be at most a glorified raid, and the rest will be via the F-15's and F-16's passing by.

Excuse me, but what the hell are they doing?
Don't they realize that failure to be SEEN to have obliterated the military forces of Hizballah is to lose this war?
