I say it is more than likely that DeWinter is, indeed, a white supremacist. His language in the past has indicated that he is. He "questions" the official story of the Holocaust. He appears at Holocaust Denial summits.

This utterly disgusting debate has dragged me out of my semi-retirement today, and I've gotten many told.
I don't care much for DeWinter, nor about him or VB honestly. I do care that there are plenty of white supremacists flocking to his group online and off, and that they are furthermore using Pim Fortuyn as a figurehead as well as someone who possibly endorsed Vlaams Blok/Belang.
Frankly, I am disgusted that this pissing match has led to yet more dragging Pim through the mud as well as numerous links to pimfortuyn.com, which I have felt obliged to comment on all day. There has been a massive radicalization in this movement since Fortuyn's death in May 2002, and his old columns cannot be used as endorsement of anything anyone is doing now, period.
More to the point, Pim very publicly distanced himself from white supremacist racists at all times. Esther of Islam in Europe left a very telling quote regarding Jewish "support" for VB amongst Antwerp's Jews at GOV. I highly suggest getting over there to read it.
Distancing onself from those who are racist is imperative, I cannot press that point enough. These beleaguered groups love ANY support that they can get at the moment. And sure, they support Israel, this is natural as Israel is the most hated nation by their target enemy, Muslims. But does anyone really think that once ascendant (Lord help us), these groups would not rid themselves of us useful non-Northern Euro descent? I'm sure I'd be gone quite soon. It is but a small leap from small hatreds to hate of anyone defined as "other".

Jaco--way to hit people up with the links! Whoa! Don't be too upset, it can be OK to agree to disagree, as well as to acknowledge that everyone is arriving at different points of the journey at different times. I just didn't want poor Pim involved. Sheesh. Besides, we must be honest at this point. What is occurring in Europe is now quite different in character than what is happening here. I needn't elaborate here.
