Belfast Telegraph - they need a wake up call.
Hold on for this...
devoid of any due process considerations?
speedy and fair trials?
First of all, this is war. Not a police matter.
Second of all, these guys are fortunate to be ABLE to be in a position to be eating honey glazed chicken and rice pilaf while they are speaking with their court paid for lawyers, and pro bono Lynne Stewart wannabees, figuring out how they can appeal to the critical progressives to whom the Bush administration personify all the 'little eichmanns' they killed on 9/11.
Third, these guys don't even make to the level of illegal aliens.
Last and let me paraphrase Robert Jackson and Abe Goldberg, 'it's not a suicide pact'
Then here are the Irish telleing us about our own document...
I hope we hang them at ground zero, and someone like Deb Burlingame is given the opportunity to kick out the trap door.
Perhaps these breathtakingly moronic idiots have sympathy for murderers whose targets are innocents after performing many of the same kinds of justifications for their own for too many years.

Show trials?"What we are looking at is a series of show trials by the Bush administration that are really devoid of any due process considerations," said Vincent Warren, the executive director head of Centre for Constitutional Rights, which represents many Guantanamo detainees. "Rather than playing politics the Bush administration should be seeking speedy and fair trials," he said. "These are trials that are going to be based on torture as confessions as well as secret evidence. There is no way that this can be said to be fair especially as the death penalty could be an outcome."

They have already committed mass murder in New York, how much more can they hate us anyway. AS far as constitutionally dubious,. EFF U, go read the federalist papers and then come back and talk to me.The decision to use Mohammed and the others as guinea-pigs in a constitutionally dubious legal proceeding is likely to trigger a firestorm of anti-American sentiment in the Islamic world and spark a fractious domestic debate in an already highly charged presidential election year.
I hope we hang them at ground zero, and someone like Deb Burlingame is given the opportunity to kick out the trap door.

Last week I was confronted by a irate customer who had commented that a noise made by another employee taping boxes sounded like "waterboarding". I said waterboarding probably sounded considerably wetter and he went into a rampage about "torture" and threw a paperback copy of the Constitution at me.
Then proudly announced he was a Jew.
Will someone tell me what the hell is the matter with a self-hating self-righteous suicidal moron like this?
As for waterboarding, I'd prefer to take these little jihad bastards to the top of the tallest building I could find, douse them in jet fuel and light a match. Tell me what I want to know or find out what it feels like.
The guy probably thought he was very brave to have that encounter with you. He spoke truth to power.
Yeah, right. He picked a fight with a 60-something bookstore cashier. Big man. It's a good thing it didn't occur to him to confront my manager and get me fired. That probably would have made his day.
Working at that Borders is getting to feel more and more like a creepy preview of what life is like in much of Europe now and may be here in the near future. The chain sees controversy primarily as a danger or benefit to their bottom line, no matter how they may pontificate about upholding freedom of speech. We have been ordered not to engage in controversial discussion with customers and our general manager forbids it even between employees in the break room. As the campaign progresses, the frontrunners are given increasing exposure on the shelves, but since we're in Massachusetts there is a less than subtle emphasis on Shrillary and Obamasama. Occasionally a kindred spirit appears -- I rang up two copies of "Infidel" yesterday -- and we converse in whispers. We see few identifiable Muslims, but yesterday a couple appeared -- she in hijab, he purchasing a Quran -- and held an extended conversation with one of my other managers which I was unable to hear. I check the shelves in the Religion section daily to reassure myself that Islam is still shelved in the middle, that the Qurans have not been placed on the top shelf. They tried to get the chain to do that already, a few years back.
When does it become a "real" war and we are free to defend ourselves without fear of our own neighbors?
I do a lot of travelling and wherever I go, I go to bookstores.
I ought to make it a habit to check where the Koran's are stocked and do a little creative rearranging.
Pastorius,

Watch out for security cameras!
Don't worry. I'll wear my burqa.
There are rumours that we,,,,,er, "They" (The Israelis) place cloth sacks over the heads of terrorist prisoners...ask for information, and at the first sign of hesitance or defiance, pour a bucket of cold water over the sack.
Damned Jews! They'll do anything to save lives!
That's supposed to be "torture"? Isn't that what they do to winning coaches at the end of a football game?
