Irate Pirates Vow Retaliation

So arm the fucking crews. They have a right to self defense and self preservation as much as anyone. Why is anyone pissing around with these fucking nitwits? See a speedboat/raft approaching? 1 warning shot in front of the bow then shoot to fucking kill if they don't immediately turn. They are thieves and brigands, nothing more. And if they are sponsored by a foreign country then it's an act of war and let's deal with it as such. But stop being such pussies and let them board the ship in the first place. Fight back for Chrissake. Be proactive, not reactive.

As if this headline is any surprise.

MSNBC:

Other pirates vow to retaliate after daring operation by Navy SEALs

MOMBASA, Kenya - In a daring high-seas rescue, U.S. Navy SEAL snipers killed three Somali pirates and freed the American sea captain who had offered himself as a hostage to save his crew.

The operation was a victory for the world's most powerful military but angry pirates vowed Monday to retaliate.

Those threats raised fears for the safety of some 230 foreign sailors still held hostage in more than a dozen ships anchored off the coast of lawless Somalia.

"From now on, if we capture foreign ships and their respective countries try to attack us, we will kill them (the hostages)," Jamac Habeb, a 30-year-old pirate, told the Associated Press from one of Somalia's piracy hubs, Eyl. "(U.S. forces have) become our No. 1 enemy."

News of Capt. Richard Phillips' rescue caused his crew in Kenya to break into wild cheers and brought tears to the eyes of those in Phillips' hometown of Underhill, Vt., half a world away from the Indian Ocean drama.

In Washington, President Barack Obama on Monday said Phillips' "safety has been our principal concern."

In a sharp warning to pirates off Somalia, Obama added: "I want to be very clear that we are resolved to halt the rise of piracy in that region and to achieve that goal, we're going to have to continue to work with our partners to prevent future attacks."

"We have to continue to be prepared to confront them when they arise, and we have to ensure that those who commit acts of piracy are held accountable for their crimes," the president said. . .

. . .Yet Sunday's blow to their lucrative activities is unlikely to stop pirates from threatening one of the world's busiest shipping lanes, simply because of the size of the vast area stretching from the Gulf of Aden and the coast of Somalia.

In fact, some say it may provoke retaliatory attacks against other hostages.

"This could escalate violence in this part of the world, no question about it," said Gortney, the commander of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command.

A Somali pirate agreed.

"Every country will be treated the way it treats us. In the future, America will be the one mourning and crying," Abdullahi Lami, one of the pirates holding a Greek ship anchored in the Somali town of Gaan, told The Associated Press on Monday. "We will retaliate (for) the killings of our men."

As dramatic as each hijacking is, Somali pirates still have only attacked a small fraction of the 20,000 ships that pass through the Gulf of Aden each year. Going around Africa to bypass the pirate-infested gulf can rack up massive costs and add up to two weeks to the voyage.

Carefully follow the direction of liberal spin as it unfolds . . .just two examples:

The pirate episode hurts Obama’s negotiating cred

and

Deaths could escalate violence...

Negotiating cred vs. life

Kidnapping/pirateering = small business venture

Defense of life = escalates violence

“When you are up to your ass in alligators, it is difficult to remember that your initial objective was to drain the swamp.”

Barack is showing his true red white and blue, in giving the shoot to kill command to protect one American captain in the recent pirate drama. This is a man who defends the right to live. So in the hypocrisy of the US of A, it is okay to kill a thug who threatens one American, (or is that Corporate interest) but it is not fine to incarcerate a bunch of thugs who appear to threaten the free world (or corporate interest). In the light of this new threat against America, Guantanamo bay saga will no doubt soon be reviewed and continued into oblivion.

My thoughts on the sniper target practice are “well done sir!” We all knew beneath your goody-goody façade their lies a cold hearted killer. Welcome to the “blood on your hands club” No turning back now! Happy death day.

No matter what is said and fed, America will continue with the policies that have been put in place long before this man Barack Obama was made the power mascot. Imagine if George took the same action. He would be lambasted from pillar to post. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

The retaliation message

“U.S. Congressman Donald Payne came under mortar fire Monday as he was leaving Somalia in a plane from Mogadishu airport, but no one was injured in the attack, an African Union official told AFP.” ( This thing is bigger than a few pirates.)

How to win people and influence friends

MOGADISHU -The crew of a U.S. ship attacked off Somalia called on President Barack Obama to lead the battle to stamp out (blow-up, shoot, kill, annihilate, wipe out but not negotiate) piracy on Monday, after U.S. forces freed the ship's captain to end a five-day hostage drama.

Navy snipers shot dead three Somali pirates holding Captain Richard Phillips in a drifting lifeboat circled by U.S. warships. (Would it not have made economic sense to pay the ransom?) Other pirates vowed revenge on Americans. (the shit will hit the fan)

More than 250 hostages of many nationalities are still being held along the Somali coast by pirates who have seized dozens of vessels, from tankers to yachts, in recent months.(No doubt a revenge killing in the pipe line)

Helicopters once again flew over pirate bases near Eyl on the Somali coast overnight after Phillips' rescue.

"They killed our friends on the lifeboat and we thought helicopters would bomb us in Eyl last night," a pirate in Eyl, who called himself Farah. (And we were only threatening to kill the captain)

"We were mourning for dead friends and then roaring planes came -- grief upon grief. America has become our new enemy." (how can they be so rude-even pirates need sleep boo-hoo)

The U.S. Navy said the decision to “shoot the bastards” was a split-second one, taken because he appeared to be in "imminent danger." (For how many days, again?)

"They were pointing the AK-47s at the captain," Vice Admiral William Gortney, head of the U.S. Naval Central Command, said.

Friday 10 April 2009 “Capt. Richard Phillips jumped over the side of the small lifeboat where he has been held for two days and started swimming in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Somalia.” (Why did the pirates not shoot the hostage then?)

"The on-scene commander took it as the captain was in imminent danger and then made that decision and he had the authorities to make that decision and he had seconds to make that decision." (So he decided to decide decisively) A fourth pirate was captured alive. (What happens to him?)

President Barack Obama granted the Pentagon's request for standing authority to use appropriate force, Gortney said. (shoot ‘em, Guantanamo bay is full)

Phillips, captain of the U.S.-flagged Maersk Alabama container ship, contacted his family after the rescue, received a medical check, and rested aboard the USS Boxer.

Mr Obama, how does it feel to kill? Mrs Obama " how does it feel to have married a murderer, what are you going to tell the girls?" Oh yes, i know, pretend it didn't happen!!! Reality is a f*cker!!!!

I have just three words on how to deal with the pirates - CUBAN MISSILE CRISIS.

Blockade the Somali ports. They have little or no commerce out of that Islamic led backward country. Anything that comes out of port, turn back or blow out of the sea.

Good point, WC.

Somalia did export one very great thing, though:
