From Avi at Astute Bloggers:
I don't think I'd written about this earlier (alas, I just can't get to everything), but some time ago, there was a photoshopped poster that arose featuring what looked like Obama as the Joker from the Dark Knight version of Batman, with "socialism" as a caption, and the leftist MSM took to decrying it as racist and such.
Well now, guess who came up with it to begin with? It's not the right-wing nutjob they were hoping it'd be. Rather, it's anArab of palestinian background living in Chicago who favors leftist politics:
Well now, guess who came up with it to begin with? It's not the right-wing nutjob they were hoping it'd be. Rather, it's anArab of palestinian background living in Chicago who favors leftist politics:
Bored during his winter school break, Firas Alkhateeb, a senior history major at the University of Illinois, crafted the picture of Obama with the recognizable clown makeup using Adobe’s Photoshop software...What does the leftist MSM think of him now? And are they going to go after him like they would do if a rightist had come up with things like this? But this should give a clue just how much the "palestinians" really support Obama.
“After Obama was elected, you had all of these people who basically saw him as the second coming of Christ,” Alkhateeb said. “From my perspective, there wasn’t much substance to him.”
“I abstained from voting in November,” he wrote in an e-mail. “Living in Illinois, my vote means close to nothing as there was no chance Obama would not win the state.” If he had to choose a politician to support, Alkhateeb said, it would be Ohio Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich…
Regardless, Alkhateeb does agree with the Obama “Hope” artist about “socialism” being the wrong caption for the Joker image. “It really doesn’t make any sense to me at all,” he said. “To accuse him of being a socialist is really ... immature. First of all, who said being a socialist is evil?”

Speaking of Palestinians, check out the recent news article from a very respected Swedish publication:
JERUSALEM – Israel and the Swedish Embassy responded furiously Wednesday to a Swedish newspaper article that suggested Israeli troops killed Palestinians and harvested their organs.
The article published Monday in Aftonbladet, Sweden's largest circulation daily, implies a link between those charges and the recent arrest in the U.S. of an American Jew for illicit organ trafficking. Later the reporter told Israel Radio he did not know if the allegations were true
Headlined "Our sons are plundered for their organs," the story made news in Israel, where some commentators compared it to medieval libels that Jews killed Christian children for their blood. Daniel Seaman, who heads Israel's government press office, said the article played on "vile anti-Semitic themes."
