Right now Wilders is playing offense: "The PVV leader wants Verhagen to summon the Saudi Arabian ambassador to express his repugnance." But expect the cascade of protests and condemnations -- from both Muslims and dhimmis -- to begin soon.
Still, however, this puts those who will condemn Wilders in a peculiar position. If they take issue with his characterization of Muhammad, they will either be excusing the Muslim prophet's marriage to a six-year-old and declining to condemn those Muslims who imitate their prophet by taking child brides, or, if they say that Muhammad didn't actually marry a child, they're in the position of denying evidence that is in the sources Muslims consider most reliable. Yet as this incident with the 80-year-old and his 10-year-old bride demonstrates ("my marriage is not against Shariah," said the codger), many Muslims take that evidence quite seriously.

THE HAGUE, 28/08/09 - Party for Freedom (PVV) leader Geert Wilders has seized on a news report from Saudi Arabia for peppery written questions to the cabinet. In these, he compares the Islamic prophet Mohammed to a pig.
Wilders has requested clarification from Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen on a marriage in Saudi Arabia between an 80 year old man and a 10 year old child. The child had run away from her elderly husband, but was brought back to him by her father, the English-language website Arab News reports based on a Saudi newspaper.
Wilders asks the minister if he shares the view that "this man is behaving like a pig, just like the barbarous Prophet Mohammed, who married the six year old girl Aisha." The PVV leader wants Verhagen to summon the Saudi Arabian ambassador to express his repugnance.

What's going to happen is that this will, in the end, be used as proof of the white culture attempting to assert it moral superiority over others.

This is going to sound toally off the wall, but has it occurred to anyone else that some Westerners may be drawn to Islam because it encourages pedophilia? The practice is supported by Sharia and the example of their "perfect man".

My wife and I, just yesterday, were talking about how many degenerate men would be attracted to the religion of Islam because it is an excuse to do whatever the hell you want to do.
You hate someone? You can kill him, because he is an unbeliever.
You lust after a woman? You can have a temporary marriage.
You lust after your neighbor's wife? You can kill him for being an unbeliever and take his wife as booty in your Jihad.
Etc.
It is a criminal's religion.
And, it is no surprise that most of the people who convert to Islam in America do so in prison.
All that being said, let's face it, there are VERY FEW cases of Muslims behaving like this in America. Most Muslims in America are peaceful law-abiding citizens who are concerned with going to work and making money to support their families, just like the rest of us.
Saw Geert down at the mall petshop the other day and he appeared to be having some difficulty making a selection. I can't imagine why though, since the choice seems rather obvious to me.

RRA, yes, it has occurred to me. They're the same guys who like chicks (particularly Japanese chicks, amongst whom the phenomenon is pervasive) who talk in fake little girl voices, are attracted to anyone who wears pigtails after age 9, or think rubber galoshes are super-hot. There is something very deeply sick about it. Certifiable pedophilia is pretty common.
