We're the Obama Admin:WE CONTROL CONGRESS, WE CAN REPEAL THE LAWS OF PHYSICS
Stories like these circulate because when people oppose a politician, they usually deeply *want* that politician to be a bumbling idiot.
I'm not singling out one side or the other in that observation. Obama is in office right now, so it's the republican supporters who are eager to believe and pass on completly fabricated stories about his acts of stupidity without checking them for accuracy. Back when Bush was in office though, the democratic side was guilty of more than a few such things themselves. Most noticeably of exagerating every single misspoken word in order to create the impression he was incapable of speaking.
