Sarak Palin was just on Fox (yes, I'm still a Palin fan).
She has always been upbeat and perky and optimistic.
Always.
Tonight she was very down and dejected.
And more than a little bewildered that America would choose this way.
And she points out that if Repubs hold onto the House, Dems the Senate and IF Obama wins then nothing NOTHING changes from the way it was yesterday.
Four more years of gridlock and inaction.
Of a useless and wasteful government.

Well my faith in America has been shattered. Not because the constitution has changed but because the American public has changed.
Elect a demagogue one time and I can count that a mistake. But do it twice in a row then I'm afraid the American public has abandoned the values this great nation was built on.
Pasto, there always are and will be battles as long as you, the American people who care, have the constitution to fight for and protect. Although that might change soon with 3 Supreme Court justices retiring soon.
Israel can't help anyone at this point. If we don't bring God in the picture then I'm really worried about Israel because as things stand, Israel's the most isolated nation in the world (kind of sad that Iran with its genocidal plans is not as isolated). Israel is once again left alone to be devoured by wolves. I believe Israel will be fine but sadly it won't be because of the great Republic by its side...but despite the United States of America.
Lastly, with a hope that's almost snuffed, I'd like to see justice for the four Americans who were murdered in Benghazi and are now forgotten. So there are fights to fight, and frankly I hate that I'm not an American and can't actively fight these fights...I don't even have the right to actually but I'd hate for you guys to give up.
Just because half of your countrymen are high doesn't give you the excuse to crawl into a hole now does it?

While I agree with your sentiments, Nicoenarg, and am not giving up, after four years of fighting this man and his policies, of trying to bring the message of what America IS to Americans WHO SHOULD KNOW IT INSTINCTIVELY, it's more than a bit difficult to keep the faith today.
I was out of work for 3-1/2 yrs of Obama's Presidency. A potential Romney win was giving me hope, alot of it, that I might actually find a job better than tossing boxes around a stockroom part time.
I no longer have that hope.
We now live in a country where it is perfectly acceptable for the leader of our country to make the rounds on late night shit teevee. To debate and discuss matters with Joy and Baba and Whoopi but not Bibi. Where it is perfectly acceptable to post I love Obama! He's my nigga! on you Facebook page whne refering to the supposed leader of the free world.

An older (my age -- 50 ish) woman and I had a conversation at lunch with two young (early 20s) ladies who voted for Obama.
The 20s voted for O. The other woman and I didn't. They kept talking about how al Romany wanted was to make sure the rich got richer and didn't care about us.
We tried to explain to them what was coming, what had happeened, who was going to pay for it. Their eyes glassed over. It was a battle of wits with 2 unarmed opponents.
When that's what we're up against it's hard to keep bringing the message. What good is it when they'd rather have their American Idol and free shit than freedom?

We have become a cheap and sleazy nation, unconcerned with anything beyond our own hedonism and what we can get without having to put any effort into it.
