EPA dismisses half of key board’s scientific advisers, Interior suspends more than 200 advisory panels

WINNING! Global Warming In My Pants Remix

EPA dismisses half of key board’s scientific advisers, Interior suspends more than 200 advisory panels
Both the Environmental Protection Agency and the Interior Department are overhauling a slew of outside advisory boards that inform how their agencies assess the science underpinning federal policies, the first step in a broader effort by Republicans to change the way the federal government evaluates the scientific basis for its regulations.
EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt decided to replace half of the members on one of its key scientific review boards, while Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is “reviewing the charter and charge” of more than 200 advisory boards, committees and other entities both within and outside his department. EPA and Interior officials began informing current members of the move Friday, and notifications continued over the weekend.
Pruitt’s move could significantly change the makeup of the 18-member Board of Scientific Counselors (BOSC), which advises EPA’s prime scientific arm on whether the research it does has sufficient rigor and integrity, and addresses important scientific questions. All of the people being dismissed were at the end of serving at least one three-year term, although these terms are often renewed instead of terminated.

ANything which erodes, destroys, limits and degrades the ability of regulatory agencies of the federal govt to impact our daily lives IS A GOOD. These department are the PRIME movers of abuse 'for our own good'.

Congress should WORK MORE and have to hold hearings and pass legislation on every fucking rule, and if they are too fucking lazy, then NO LAW

Cutting that bloated federal bureaucracy is definitely a win!

Epa,

Hear, hear!

These bureaucratic tyrants in the various federal agencies cannot be voted out of office. We get a new POTUS, but usually the same damn bureaucrats in the agencies stay in power. They sit around all day and "use the pencil" -- and collect federal salaries and benefits.

Congress critters can be voted out of office.

And one more thing....

Congress needs to stay in session longer. They "work" for a few weeks, then go on vacation or the campaign trail. Rinse and repeat for their entire term in office.

I find some of the hearings distasteful at this point. They are a form of grandstanding and platforming for the individual Congressmen. Pelosi has had so much facial work she looks like an aging fox. Eyes too far apart from the bridge of her nose. Maxine Waters is practically aphasic, because her diction and ability to communicate cause humiliation. Ryan is a performer. Cruz performs. What can I say? It is like watching a bad B movie which is over-budgeted.

Well put.

Trey Gowdy is also performing.

I've had it with these people.

Some of them should be in prison.

That some of them are not is proof they are merely performing.
