Justice Department delivers documents on wiretap claim to Congress

Reuters: Justice Department delivers documents on wiretap claim to Congress
The U.S. Justice Department on Friday said it delivered documents to congressional committees responding to their request for information that could shed light on President Donald Trump's claims that former President Barack Obama ordered U.S. agencies to spy on him.
The information was sent to the House and Senate intelligence and judiciary committees, said Sarah Isgur Flores, a Justice Department spokeswoman.
A congressional official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the House Intelligence Committee was examining the documents and might issue a public statement about them later on Friday.
Another government source, who also requested anonymity when discussing sensitive information, said an initial examination of the material turned over by the Justice Department indicates that it contains no evidence to confirm Trump's claims that the Obama administration had wiretapped him or the Trump Tower in New York.
Leaders of both the House and Senate intelligence committees, including from Trump's Republican Party, have said they have found no evidence to substantiate Trump's claims that Obama ordered U.S. agencies to spy on Trump or his entourage.
The White House has publicly offered no proof of the allegation.
On Monday, the House panel sent the Justice Department a letter asking for copies of any court orders related to Trump or his associates which might have been issued last year under an electronic surveillance law or a wide-ranging anti-crime statute.

Fake News

Note the headline here:

To read it you would think Tim Allen is comparing the Trump administration to 1930s Hitler's Germany.

Which, knowing Allen is more conservative than liberal, I found odd. But the headline is all many people will read. "Oh look, even Tim Allen thinks Trump is Hitlerian."

But then watch the actual interview:

and it becomes clear he is not talking about Trump, but about the anti-Trump movement and very specifically Hollywood.

story here for those who can and still want to get the whole story

NYC: Children’s Museum of Manhattan Indoctrinating Kids with Islam

NYC: Children’s Museum of Manhattan Indoctrinating Kids with Islam

Is the true nature and purpose of Islam on display at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan?
Will there be any mention of Islamic slavery of black Africans? Any mention of the violent jihads waged by Muhammad and others to spread Islam from Saudi Arabia and then to conquer dozens of other countries?
Will there be a display of Muhammad’s six-year old wife – the same age as some of the children being forced to visit the museum display?
Polygamy, sex slaves, stonings, beheadings, amputations, genital mutilation, acid throwing, rape gangs, honor killings, ISIS, al Qaeda, Hamas, CAIR, ISNA, al Shabaab, 9/11, etc.?
We suspect all that and more are missing from the self-proclaimed “trusted source.”

Unholy Alliance: Christian Charities Profit from $1 Billion Fed Program to Resettle Refugees, 40 Percent Muslim

From Breitbart:
Though they are officially “non-profit” organizations, Catholic Charities, Lutheran Social Services, and several other Christian organizations are profiting from lucrative contracts with the federal government to resettle refugees in the United States.
Of the 100,000 refugees resettled in the United States in 2014 under the Refugee Resettlement program, an estimated 40 percent were Muslims.
In FY 2015, the State Department, through the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration and the Office of Refugee Resettlement, spent more than $1 billion on these programs, which settled international refugees “vetted” by the United Nations High Commission on International Refugees in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
The federal government spent hundreds of millions of dollars more than that on refugees, however. The Department of Health and Human Services also provided a number of “entitlements” to these refugees.
Much of this $1 billion in annual revenue goes to voluntary agencies (VOLAGs), several of which are Christian non-profits, such as Catholic Charities, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, World Relief Corporation, Church World Service, and Domestic and Foreign Missionary Service of the Episcopal Church of the USA. (also referred to as Episcopal Migration Ministries), who are contracted on behalf of the government to help these refugees get settled in their new homes in America.
Five of the top nine VOLAGs are Christian non-profits.
The other four are Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, International Rescue Committee, US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants, and the Ethiopian Community Development Council.
After providing three to four months of resettlement services to these refugees, having been well compensated for their assistance services, these Christian non-profit VOLAGS stop providing services and are not required to keep track of their location within the United States.
In effect, critics argue, these VOLAGS have become agents of the federal government whose new mission is to import terrorism to the United States under the false flag of Christian compassion. As Refugee Resettlement Watch reported, there are multiple ways for these VOLAGs to generate revenue from this program:
a. $1,850 per refugee (including children) from the State Department.
b. Up to $2,200 for each refugee by participating in a U.S. DHHS program known as Matching Grant. To get the $2,200, the Volag need only show it spent $200 and gave away $800 worth of donated clothes, furniture, or cars.
c. The Volag pockets 25 percent of every transportation loan it collects from refugees it “sponsors”.
d. All Volag expenses and overhead in the Washington, DC HQ are paid by the U.S. government.
e. For their refugee programs, Volags collect money from all federal grant programs – “Marriage Initiative,” “Faith-based,” “Ownership Society etc., as well as from various state and local grants.
The program is so lucrative that in some towns the Catholic Church has lessened support for traditional charity works to put more effort into resettlement. It uses collection offerings to promote the refugee resettlement program.
Despite claims that these Muslim refugees have been “vetted” to keep out terrorists, numerous reports, including those by the Department of Homeland Security and FBI, indicate that this process is flawed, especially for refugees from countries like Syria, where virtually no data bases to perform background checks exist.
Of the approximately 2,000 Syrian refugees who have come to the United States over the past several years, an estimated 97 percent are Muslim.

Hawaii: Muslim Brotherhood-Backed Imam Dictating US Refugee Policy

From Refugee Resettlement Watch:
The main plaintiff in the Hawaii case blocking President Trump’s revised temporary travel ban is an imam with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
The irony is hard to miss: Trump has talked about declaring the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, and now it is a Brotherhood-backed imam who is playing a key role in blocking his executive order on immigration.
Imam Ismail Elshikh, 39, leads the largest mosque in Hawaii and claims he is suffering “irreparable harm” from the president’s executive order, which places a 90-day ban on travel to the U.S. from six countries.
One of those six countries is Syria. Elshikh’s mother in law is Syrian and would not be able to visit her family in Hawaii for 90 days if Trump’s ban were allowed to go into effect.
Hawaii’s Obama-appointed federal judge, Derrick Watson, made sure the ban did not go into effect, striking it down Wednesday while buying Hawaii’s claim that it amounts to a “Muslim ban.”
The state’s attorney general, along with co-plaintiff Elshikh, claims the ban would irreparably harm the state’s tourism industry and its Muslim families.
The vast majority of Hawaii’s roughly 5,000 Muslims attend Elshikh’s mosque, the Muslim Association of Hawaii, which is located in a residential area of Manoa, Honolulu.
The mosque, despite its ties to what many believe is an extremist and subversive organization, the Muslim Brotherhood, may now hold the key to whether the Trump travel ban passes muster in the federal court system.
Elshikh was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, the home base of the Muslim Brotherhood, whose stated goal is to spread Shariah law throughout the world.
The proof that his mosque is affiliated with the Brotherhood is found in the court records for Honolulu County, which lists the deed holder as the North American Islamic Trust.
John Guandolo, a former FBI counter-terrorism specialist and now private consultant to law enforcement at Understanding the Threat, said all mosques under the “Muslim Association of” moniker are typically affiliated with the Brotherhood.
But the clincher in this case is that the mosque property is traced to NAIT, “confirming it is a Muslim Brotherhood organization,” Guandolo told WND in an email.
The Trump administration has said it is considering banning the Muslim Brotherhood in the U.S. by including it on the State Department’s list of foreign terrorist organizations. Hohmann continues….. … instead of banning the Brotherhood, the U.S. is letting a Brotherhood-backed imam dictate U.S. refugee and visa policy, Guandolo said.

Nader: Congress Must Deal with Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook ‘Monopoly’

From PJM:
WASHINGTON – Consumer advocate and former presidential candidate Ralph Nader said Congress should intervene to address the “new kind of monopoly” that Google, Microsoft, Apple and Facebook have on the technology industry.
Nader was part of a panel discussion Monday at the Library of Congress’ “Sunshine Week Celebration” dedicated to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The panelists were asked about navigating the current media landscape for facts in the era of “alternative news” and social media.
“These days the tech companies are more and more involved in the dissemination of news and information and they traditionally have not really wanted to get involved in content and issues surrounding content – that has changed,” said Lucy Dalglish, the dean of the University of Maryland College of Journalism.
In response to Dalglish’s comments, Nader said the public should not “rely” on the tech companies for accurate news and information. “I don’t see Facebook and Microsoft and Google – they’re trapped by the exudations of their own flamingly fast technological developments. They don’t have a clue when they unleash things what the consequences are and they haven’t had it from day one. They don’t have a clue. They just know they’re putting the product out, they can show it’s exciting and the rest of it is going to take care of itself. No, so I really wouldn’t rely on them,” Nader said at the event.
“I think we need a grassroots movement of the serious sub-society that can take command of this because eventually it’s going to have to end up in Congress – First Amendment or not, it’s going to have to end up in Congress. You have three or four major monopolies now redefined under our antitrust laws – somebody, we hope. You have Google, you have Facebook, you have Microsoft, what’s the other one? Apple. And they’re sloshing around toward each other, but basically they have a new kind of monopoly – just the way Amazon is developing a new kind of monopoly. This is not going to be, ‘oh, don’t mess with our First Amendment rights.’ No, no, no – this is going to go into the antitrust area and it’s going to go into legislation and the sooner the better,” he added.

Islam: Tentacles of Radicalism

From The Last English Prince:
If there is one proficiency for Islam it is the ability of the gestalt to radicalize down to the smallest of human beings:
At what age can a child begin to fantasize about beheading another human being?
We act surprised. How is this possible?
It is possible because Islam creates tentacles which wrap around all that is good, pure and decent and the bargain struck with Allah is always a bloody one.

Peter Turchin’s, ‘Ultrasociety: How 10,000 Years of War Made Humans the Greatest Cooperators on Earth,’ necessarily implies that the West needs a popular war within or near its borders. He reluctantly confesses, “A reactionary catchphrase of the 1970s used to go, “what this generation needs is a war,” a deplorable sentiment but one that in terms of cultural evolution might sometimes have a germ of cold logic.”[i]

Turchin’s main project is to explain the existence of civilisations.  To this end, he tells the story of social cooperation’s rise and expansion.  Being an evolutionary anthropologist he starts by describing chimpanzees use of violence to maintain their group cohesion and hierarchy.

But, by the Pleistocene era, (2 million – 10,000 BC), evidence indicates that man, (homicide aside), was largely peaceful and egalitarian.  Why?  Stone weapons!  Upstart bullies could be pounded in the head with stones during their sleep.  So weapons enforced egalitarian cooperation.

At the end of the Pleistocene era, because the weather became stable, populations boomed. At this point, you get brutal unequal chiefdoms.  TAhe standard model says that agriculture created the archaic states.  Turchin convincingly argues that this is not true, war did.

For thousands of years, after agriculture became widespread, people continued to do hunting and gathering as well.  Those with these blended economies were free and equal. And these folks’ had much better diets than those who only did agriculture. So agriculture does not explain the rise of states.

Using math, history and evolutionary logic, Turchin argues that one group switching to a centralised hierarchical state system could dominate and enslave the others.  Once one group had switched, others had to do so or be beaten. So hierarchical cooperation was born and brutally enforced. War made people do agricultural, not vice versa.  Societies’ roots are in war.

But, starting about 500 BC, Turchin explains, military horse use decisively tilted the military advantage to whoever could field the largest army. Large armies require big population bases. Hierarchical archaic states' control via violence limited their size and created internal disunity.

Universal monotheistic religions enabled larger societies.  Zoroastrianism, Christianity, Buddhism, and Confucian taught rulers to treat their subjects with care.  In turn, these religions legitimised supporting the king. But these egalitarian ethics, again, were there to create larger populations in order to win wars.

Sydney, Australia: Teacher quits after primary school students threaten to behead her

From Yahoo Australia:
Frightened teachers at a Sydney primary school have revealed students are showing signs of extreme radicalisation at a young age, saying they have been traumatised by threats of beheading and other violent behaviour.
Students as young as in Year 5 are making the threats and pressuring peers into reading the Koran at Punchbowl Public School in Sydney's southwest, the Daily Telegraph has reported.
Documents given to the newspaper reportedly reveal that at least three staff members have taken stress leave, received counselling and been paid compensation after bullying from Islamic students.
One woman reportedly claimed it all got too much for her and she eventually had to quit her job.
She said the final straw was when she received death threats to her family from her year 5 and 6 students, with some saying they would behead her.
Prior to that she claimed she made a number of complaints in 2014 about some of the behaviour in her classroom.
She said she was abused by students when she stopped them from hanging a Syrian flag in the classroom.

We’ve lost the Federal Government to itself, and BIG TROUBLE is coming for them, OR…

the USA will decline, RAPIDLY. IMO, this decline will be so rapid and have such powerful disintegration forces within it, that the very people so opposed to Mr. Trump CUTTING their budget (and job?) will lose what they are trying to preserve because most of the people of the USA will pretend to be caring and the government will founder in an ever tightening spiral of vigilant control to reverse the Imodium of spirit, expressed as increasing tax revenues among the flattening and finally decreasing pay, and financial worth.
We will have unconsciously and involuntarily gone Galt, right in place
The Constitution was set up to STOP central government from vacuuming up all the power in the air of the nation. It did this by cynically using the ambition, greed, and subconscious drives of humans to be in opposition to each other.
But somewhere between a responsible societal desire to care for older Americans who could no longer work, and worry over the thickness of peregrine falcon eggshells our good intentions created the space for the government which has now run up $20,000,000,000,000 of debt to tell us how to get rid of our BOWEL MOVEMENTS and Urine (1.6 gallons at a time), and the LAW which decided that was formulated, considered, ‘passed’ and enforced without that branch of government the Constitution COMPELS to move, debate and legislate law, to be passed or vetoed by the President getting involved.
We now have a Congress whose LAZINESS at the point of decision during the rise of the EPA ceded power to the regulation and law making apparatus INVENTED inside MANY cabinet departments using the EPA as their example for expansion.
We all remember the Dept of the Interior fining into nonexistence each day the family in WY who had merely put a pond in the midst of their own land for their children to fish from.
We all remember the stories (some apocryphal) of cabinet departments making ammunition purchases for their own internal enforcement arms.
We all remember the Bureau of Land Management and their war against the Bundy family over grazing, resulting in a huge standoff.
We all remember the armed invasion over Elian Gonzalez which Janet Reno ENFORCED. She did not have to, but in doing so, made the choice which resulted in the face the federal government wears.
Make no mistake, this is the real end point of federal regulation.
We in Maine and other northern tier states BARELY escaped EPA self arrogated ‘regulation’ (made without the debate compulsory in Congress) which would have made our main (and affordable) source of heat nearly unusable. In WV, PA, OH and KY at the least, the President used his tool of the EPA to DESTROY the coal industry as he had publicly promised, by enacting rules which were impossible to adhere to. The result? So many opioid overdose deaths in WV that families cannot pay for, the state RAN OUT OF MONEY to bury the dead (WaPo).
Yesterday Trump released his budget (proposal) which includes REAL cuts to the departments. The result was, among other things, a twitter storm asking many thousands of times if Sesame Street needed to die for Mulvaney’s salary. Missing was the real question, and answer that we are in such DIRE economic conditions after a decade of no income growth, but LARGE tax revenue growth and career/job losses that we can no longer afford the LUXURY of BOTH Big Bird and caring for our veterans’ hard earned medical care, and have thus chosen the health of the people who have served us over PUPPETS for children. Parents, take over. Vets need the help first.
Several years ago the interest on the national debt when it was about $17,000,000,000,000 was 3/4ths the size (~$460 Bn) of the ENTIRE MEDICARE program. It is no coincidence that our debt, the increase in govt power and size, and the inverse income and net worth of the PEOPLE have all gone together. Soon, the interest will exceed this and the defense dep’t budget. WHat will tell ourselves when the interest on the debt is the largest single budget item?
We are reaching the end. Bad things are coming.
Congress MUST fulfill it’s responsibility and must be filled with people WHO SERVE, not career politicians and parasites off lobbies.
Judges cannot MAKE law and foreign policy.
Presidents CANNOT seize power
Congress cannot abandon that power to the President.
All of this is happening.

Congressman Chaffetz: Investigation Into Hillary Clinton Private Email Use Not Over

You know, this sounds good, but I'm starting to get the feeling I am watching the same old lots-of-talk-no-action ploy we have always seen.

And, I am concerned that the lack of action is supported by Trump.

From Fuck Fox News:
“We need to understand the gravity of this. There is a reason the State Department, years after, is still holding off on giving us documents,” Chaffetz told Fox News. “The more they want to hold them, the more curious we are on what’s in them.”
Chaffetz said the State Department has been “dreadfully slow” in turning over some 30,000 additional documents, and that he expected the investigation to last well into 2018.
“Agencies like to brag about how many thousands of documents they’ve given us, but it’s not about the count — it’s about getting 100 percent of them.”
The committee head said his panel plans to investigate the case from “top to bottom” — including investigating the meeting on an airport tarmac between then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and President Bill Clinton in “such close proximity” to the conclusion of the FBI’s investigation of the email scandal.

Obama, The Hawaiian Judge, and Trump's Executive Order on Immigration from Terror-Exporting Nations

He’s traveling, holding meetings, getting something done. Who knows what it is? No doubt Obama will become one of the leaders of the “resistance,” with occasional statements and plenty of work behind the scenes. Former President Barack Obama was spotted Monday in Hawaii, adding to what has been a busy several days for the 44th president, the Washington Examiner reported.
Lenin touring the US. Before his next October revolution.

Paul Joseph Watson tweets:

"Main reason for the judge blocking the travel ban is that Hawaiians won't be able to visit relatives in Muslim countries. Incredible."

Leftist Judge Produces 43 Page Decision Within 2 HOURS of Hearing State’s Request for Block on Trump Refugee Ban

The Hawaii judge issued his decision in less than 2 hours after hearing arguments. His decision is 43 pages long with multiple quotes. In other words, he took what he heard, “deliberated” and researched the quotes, the wrote 43 pages in under 120 minutes – thats a page every 3 minutes. No f’ing way he churned that decision out in that amount of time with enough time to research before and re-read/edit after.

Trump's Budget Blueprint Eliminates NPR, PBS

The budget blueprint is out:

Look who’s being eliminated/axed: Public Broadcasting is on the list…

“The Budget also proposes to eliminate funding for other independent agencies, including: the African Development Foundation; the Appalachian Regional Commission; the Chemical Safety Board; the Corporation for National and Community Service; the Corporation for Public Broadcasting; the Delta Regional Authority; the Denali Commission; the Institute of Museum and Library Services; the Inter-American Foundation; the U.S. Trade and Development Agency; the Legal Services Corporation; the National Endowment for the Arts; the National Endowment for the Humanities; the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation; the Northern Border Regional Commission; the Overseas Private Investment Corporation; the United States Institute of Peace; the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness; and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.”
A good place to start negotiations.

Time to IGNORE judges trying to make foreign policy, AND SET PRECEDENT

It’s the little things.
Judge Derrick Watson, a Fed District Court Judge, rules that the financial hardship he thought HI would suffer, and that campaign statements pertaining to foreigners who not only are not citizens but have never been here, ordered a halt to an EO not yet implemented.. which included a NINETY DAY WAIT.
Andrew Jackson famously refused to enforce a SCOTUS decision itself in Worcester vs Georgia (by no less than John Marshall himself), and it’s time now for the executive to insist the courts have no rights to decide OR enforce the foreign policy of the USA. A federal district court would not DARE to try and use US marshals to enforce anything short of SCOTUS decision and even then, those marshals are the employees of the executive.
This is NOT about Trump and anyone who makes this about #RESIST is a goddamned fool.
There will be other presidents and naked partisanship going the other way will further increase the divide in this totally polarized society.
I abhor the self arrogating powers of the executive which have reached our toilets, and include armed enforcement micro armies for many departments, but this is VERY DIFFERENT. The Constitution makes clear (commander in chief) who the ultimate authority in foreign affairs is (short of war), and chaos beckons on this one as judges who are the product of institutional progressivism, and were appointed to enforce that domestically, extend their IDEOLOGY to a place it has no place.
When the original EO was issued I had argued a mistake was made over VISA and Green Card Holders since they had already cleared due process. This is not the case here. But the visa process is totally warped..
The number of H-1Bs available to profit-making companies is limited by an annual cap established by Congress, but universities are exempt from this cap, as the result of a deal made in 2000 between lobbyists for the tech industry and for universities.
So how many corps made deals with U's and grants to do their R&D with cheaper H1-B's getting around the caps? Trump absolutely needs total reform in the ENTIRE immigration/visa forms in the USA, and he has the congress and senate to do it.
But there is MUCH MUCH MORE…
Eugene Kontorovich, Constitutional Expert at WaPo, and Volokh Conspiracy:
Generally, the president has vast discretion in issuing visas. One of the major arguments against the executive order is that while in principle a president can limit immigration from the seven affected countries, it would be unconstitutional for President Trump in particular to do so, because in his case the action is motivated by impermissible religious bias. The central exhibit for this argument is his campaign statements about a “Muslim ban.”
There is absolutely no precedent for courts looking to a politician’s statements from before he or she took office, let alone campaign promises, to establish any kind of impermissible motive. The 9th Circuit fairly disingenuously cites several Supreme Court cases that show “that evidence of purpose beyond the face of the challenged law may be considered in evaluating Establishment and Equal Protection Clause claims.”
Indeed, a brief examination of cases suggests the idea has been too wild to suggest. For example, the 10th Circuit has rejected the use of a district attorney’s campaign statements against certain viewpoints to show that a prosecution he commenced a few days after office was “bad faith or harassment.” As the court explained, even looking at such statements would “chill debate during campaign[s].” If campaign statements can be policed, the court concluded, it would in short undermine democracy: “the political process for selecting prosecutors should reflect the public’s judgment as to the proper enforcement of the criminal laws.” Phelps v. Hamilton, 59 F.3d 1058, 1068 (10th Cir. 1995).
The 9th Circuit’s ruling Thursday throws open a huge door to examinations of the entire lives of political officials whose motives may be relevant to legal questions. This introduces more uncertainty and judicial power into legal interpretation than even the most robust use of legislative/administrative history. Without a clear cutoff at assumption of office, attacks on statutes will become deep dives into politicians’ histories.
Mr. Trump, ENFORCE the order, fire any employee who will not follow policy (Reagan v Air Traffic Controllers), and take it to SCOTUS. Then decide. There is only ONE THING, one lawful constitutional method that can prevent the implementation of foreign policy this year.

"Victorious through terror"

Frightened teachers at a Sydney primary school have revealed students are showing signs of extreme radicalisation at a young age, saying they have been traumatised by threats of beheading and other violent behaviour.
Muslim students are threatening to behead their teachers. In Sydney, Australia. Obviously, this has nothing to do with Islam.
Documents given to the newspaper reportedly reveal that at least three staff members have taken stress leave, received counselling and been paid compensation after bullying from Islamic students.
The inbred Muslims are not going to be future Einsteins but they have learned one thing: intimidation works. The soft, weak, counselled infidels appease the rotten Muslims thugs instead of rightly kicking them out of their nations.

Southern Poverty Law Center Spreads Hate

From the USA Today:
Angry protesters shouted down an eminent scholar and sent a female professor to the hospital.
A crazed gunman entered a D.C. public policy shop and shot an employee before being disarmed.
Someone mailed a suspicious white powder to a Scottsdale advocacy group, partially closing the office while a Hazmat team tested employees who had been exposed.
The victims in each case were targeted by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
The SPLC is a non-profit heralded for its noble history defending civil rights. Founded in 1971, the Montgomery, Ala. legal advocacy organization sued the Ku Klux Klan and other white supremacist groups in the South on behalf of victims. Big settlements and harsh sanctions were levied against the racist organizations, successfully shuttering some and scaring off many others.
But by 1986, these groups had rapidly declined. The SPLC could have declared “mission accomplished.” But since funds were still coming in, they declared a new mission statement. No longer would they fight Grand Wizards and Jim Crow, but turned instead to an endlessly expanding target of “extremism.”
The change in goals was so stark, the entire legal staff resigned.

JUST IN: Bipartisan bill would bring 2,500 additional Afghan interpreters to US

The Trump era is doing so many things to undo the damage caused by the Obama years. And this is one of the greatest.

These people served us. They risked their lives for us.

And we promised them we would protect them in return for their service.

It would be a shame on us to have abandoned them, as Obama did.

Great news.

The United States did not make any promises to the Afghani interpreters.

Saudi Deputy Crown Praises Trump’s ‘Great Understanding’ Of Muslim World After Meeting, Supports Travel Ban

Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman characterized his meeting with President Donald Trump as a “historic turning point in bilateral relations” between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia.
A statement released by the Saudi leader was effusive in its praise for the U.S. president’s “great understanding” of geo-political problems in the Middle East and his concern for better relations with the Saudi people.
Salman also agreed with Trump’s efforts to enforce a temporary travel ban on visitors to the U.S. that includes countries with a Muslim-majority population.
“Saudi Arabia does not believe that this measure is targeting Muslim countries or the religion of Islam. This measure is a sovereign decision aimed at preventing terrorists from entering the United States of America.
President Trump expressed his deep respect for the Religion of Islam, considering it one of the divine religions that came with great human principles kidnapped by radical groups,” he said.

Trump to Sign Executive Order Removing Obama's Climate Change Regulations

Winning! With a Deadly Eye

It's all good, bro:
President Donald Trump is set to sign a sweeping directive to dramatically shrink the role climate change plays in decisions across the government, ranging from appliance standards to pipeline approvals, according to a person familiar with the administration's plan.
The order, which could be signed this week, goes far beyond a targeted assault on Obama-era measures blocking coal leasing and throttling greenhouse gas emissions from power plants that has been discussed for weeks.
Some of the changes could happen immediately; others could take years to implement.
It aims to reverse President Barack Obama's broad approach for addressing climate change.
One Obama-era policy instructed government agencies to factor climate change into formal environmental reviews, such as that for the Keystone XL pipeline.
Trump's order also will compel a reconsideration of the government's use of a metric known as the "social cost of carbon" that reflects the potential economic damage from climate change. It was used by the Obama administration to justify a suite of regulations.

USAID! Surfaces, A Gold Mine of Leftist Crimes Funded Through Soros Operations?

From Fox News:
Republican senators are asking Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to investigate claims that U.S. taxpayer money is being used to back left-wing billionaire George Soros' political meddling and similar efforts overseas.
A letter sent Tuesday asked for a probe into how U.S. funds are being used by agencies such as the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to back left-wing political groups in other countries.
Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, one of the co-signers, even said foreign officials and political leaders have come to him with "reports of U.S. activity in their respective countries."
He said in a statement: "This includes reports of diplomats playing political favorites, USAID funds supporting extreme and sometimes violent political activists, and the US Government working to marginalize the moderates and conservatives in leadership roles. ... This sort of political favoritism from our missions around the world is unacceptable.”
The letter to Tillerson also was signed by Sens. James Inhofe, R-Okla.; Thom Tillis, R-N.C.; David Perdue, R-Ga.; Ted Cruz, R-Texas; and Bill Cassidy, R-La.
It followed a letter in February from GOP lawmakers asking about whether U.S. tax dollars have been used in recent years to fund Soros-backed projects in the small, conservative-led country of Macedonia.
In particular, USAID funding to Soro’s Open Society Foundations in Macedonia sparked concern that the U.S. Embassy has been taking sides in the country’s fiery political fights.
The group's stated goal is “to build vibrant and tolerant democracies whose governments are accountable to their citizens” but critics claim it's a front for Soros’ political maneuverings.
The USAID website shows that between 2012 and 2016, USAID gave almost $5 million in taxpayer cash to FOSM for “The Civil Society Project,” which “aims to empower Macedonian citizens to hold government accountable.”
USAID’s website links to www.soros.org.mk, and says the project trained hundreds of young Macedonians “in youth activism and the use of new media instruments.”
The State Department told lawmakers that in addition to that project, USAID has recently funded a new Civic Engagement Project which partners with four organizations, including FOSM. The cost is believed to be around $9.5 million.
A citizen’s initiative called “Stop Operation Soros” has also published a white paper alleging U.S. money has been funding violent riots in the streets, as well as a Macedonian version of Saul Alinsky’s far-left handbook “Rules for Radicals.”
After being dissatisfied with responses to letters sent to the U.S. ambassador, the senators wrote to Tillerson, noting not only the situation in Macedonia, but also what they describe as “a pattern of alarming activity in this volatile region” -- pointing in particular to the nearby country of Albania.

Another day, another fatwa

What is it this time?

A blasphemous book, a cartoon, haram artwork or someone burning a Quran?

None of the above. It's a 16-years-old girl who wants to sing in front of an audience.
Indian Idol Junior first runner-up Nahid Afrin landed into a trouble after over 40 clerics from Muslim organisations issued a fatwa restricting her to perform on stage. The reason being that the performance by a girl on stage is against the Sharia laws.
Would it ever occur to you that a simple act of a girl singing on stage is somehow offensive or worthy of condemnation? That's the gulf between the West and Islam.

Many Indians are not afraid to stand with her.
Meanwhile, several organisations and individuals in Assam have come out to support the young singer and against the ‘fatwa’ issued against the singer and said that people of Assam will give security to her.
