Debunking Myths

See Giving Proper Credit at Social Sense. Mustang, the webmaster there, debunks some often-touted Arab/Islamic contributions to modern civilization. Excerpt:
...Common beliefs about Arabic contributions are a Moslem invention, not based in fact, and perpetuated by uninformed people. Rather than propagating distortions, let’s give credit to whom it is due...

Bali: Muslim Seduced By Cow - Cow Must Be Killed According To Islamic Bullshit

Thanks to Anonymous for the story and the title.

RRA notes:

Secret identities of the 72 virgins revealed!
Paradise-bound shahids in udder shock!
Mooooooooslims riot over "insult" to Holy Cows!
IBA milking story for all it's worth!

:)

From Short News:
Nhurah A. from Bali was caught in the sex with a cow.  According to the village oldest, the 18-year-old was observed of a villager how he stood naked behind the cow and held its rear.  In the interrogation, the culprit explained that the cow would be a young and beautiful girl.

"You has me called and made flattering comments, had I sex with its", said A. vis-à-vis the authorities.  In order to clean the village of the "dirty behavior", the cow is supposed to be drowned now after traditional ritual in a lake.

The culprit A. must wash itself in the ocean and must pay 2,000 Balanese coins as a fine.
In an IBA exclusive, we have obtained photos of this bovine babe. I mean, you can't really blame him, Can you?

We Also Failed to Understand Japan's "Holy War" of Hakko Ichiu

Those Americans who have still never heard of Sharia law and who try to rationalize away Jihad had their counterparts in the pre-WWII years. A recent exchange of comments on a posting at the JihadWatch site alerted me to similarities between Islamism and the concept of hakko ichiu that motivated the Empire of Japan in WWII.

Hakko ichiu, translates into English as "all the world under one roof," meaning world dominance by Japan. It was first used as a political slogan in the early 20th century by Japanese nationalist Tanaka Chigaku as his interpretation of a "divine command" issued by Jimmu, Japan's first god-emperor, believed to be a direct descendent of the sun.

The Japanese people believed themselves to be descendants of gods, destined to rule the world and all its people. Their religion of Shinto decreed that all living people must imitate the ways of the gods, in a system as detailed and all-encompassing as that of Islam's Sharia law. And like Islam, Shinto had permeated its culture for many centuries. But since 1870 the state had forced into the practice of Shinto the doctrine of hakko ichiu. The combination was deadly, because to the Japanese it justified any treachery, brutality, rape, and torture used against non-Japanese. In 1940, the Konoe administration proclaimed for Japan "a new order in East Asia aimed at establishment of world peace...". The meaning of hakko ichiu in relation to "peace" was about the same as that of Islam: submission.

Frank Capra's film "Know Your Enemy - Japan", part of his "Why We Fight" series, provides an excellent short introduction to hakko ichiu. To quote from the film, the Japanese soldier "...believes that in the attack itself there is some mystic virtue" by which a superior enemy force can be defeated. "Death in battle is the attainment of the ideal... where his flag leads, he follows in a blind emotional rush", for the Japanese flag of the Rising Sun was the symbol of their holy emperor, their visible god. The emperor was also their political ruler, thus combining religion and politics. As a direct descendant of the sun, the emperor could not be imitated in any way, could not be touched, and the Japanese government filed an official protest when a photograph of Hirohito appeared on the cover of TIME magazine.

As one commenter on JW pointed out, differing circumstances lead to differences in the perception of similarities between Jihad and Hakko Ichiu in history. The current difference is based in Political Correctness. That insidious barrier to rational assessment is compounded by the fact that the "nationality" of Islam, the "uniform" of its "military", and the structure of its "government" are not as clearly delineated as was the case with Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany, and are therefore more susceptible to the distortions of PC. This is not likely to change unless and until we are hit with an attack of even greater magnitude than 9/11/01 which will require us to finally acknowledge the nature of our enemy, in the name of our very survival.

Never Let It Go Unanswered!

See how Robert Spencer handled the yelling Muslim? I haven't heard Spencer talk in the past. I have only read his stuff. First off, I just want to say that this man knows a lot about Islam and its not just "oh yeah, Islam sucks" kind of knowledge but real hardcore knowledge of Islamic theology as understood by Muslims.

It happens so many times that when anyone tries to hold a "debate" or a "discussion" with a Muslim and tries to raise objections to Islam, they are yelled at, insulted and forced to shut up--and many, in turn, do shut up because they are decent human beings. What happens as a result though is that that act of the non Muslim, the act of shutting up, is looked at by Muslim as their weakness and then the shout follows, "we have won! Allah-u-akbar!"

Am I saying that Robert Spencer is not a decent human being? Of course not. What I am saying is that Robert Spencer knows that even though he is a decent human being, to be able to heard in this politically correct, ultra-sensitive world, he has to raise his voice when a Muslim starts yelling. He has to raise his voice higher! He can't afford to shut up and then never be heard again. He can't afford to cave in. He can't afford to turn the other cheek because it is not himself that he's fighting for or fighting against, but he is fighting for the freedom of 100s of millions of people and he's fighting against an ideology that will make sure those people don't have their freedom once this religion gets its way.

Remamber, it was swift and strong hand of Charles Martel that drove the invading Muslim armies back on their heels to the hell-hole they came from. There is a reason he is known as Charles The HAMMER. And that reason isn't because he thought, "oh, I might offend Muslims by defending my country and my values, so why not compromise?" His army was smaller than the invading Muslim army but he prevailed because he knew something bigger was at stake than pleasing barbarians. He knew he couldn't make a deal with the devil!

Robert Spencer knows it all also. With Muslims, you can't give them a second chance. You can't let them gain any ground. You can't accept defeat today and reply tomorrow. You can't compromise one value and hope for eternal peace because they will keep on asking for more (look up Arab politicians of people who call themselves Palestinains). And finally, even though it may sound unimportant, you can not let a Muslim objection to concerns raised about Islam go unanswered--you will be called a bigot, an extremist, a fool now but you might not get another chance to set the record straight.

Bravo Robert Spencer!

RIFQA UPDATE: This Is What I Was Afraid Of.

CLICK HERE FOR BACKGROUND INFO ON THE RIFQA STORY

The Muslim parents of an Ohio teenager who fled to Florida fearing an "honor killing" for converting to Christianity today blamed their daughter's fears on the husband and wife pastors who took their daughter in and didn't report her presence for more than two weeks.

"Neither Mr. or Mrs. Bary have ever threatened the life of their daughter, and patiently await their daughter's safe return," Craig McCarthy, a lawyer for Mohamed Bary and his wife, said in a statement issued today to "Good Morning America."

Fathima Rifqa Bary, who goes by Rifqa, left home in New Albany, Ohio, last month and hopped on a bus to Orlando to meet with husband and wife pastors Blake and Beverly Lorenz, who she met through a Facebook prayer group for the couple's non-denominational Global Revolution Church.

The couple have become the 17-year-old girl's biggest allies, saying she has told them that her father threatened to kill her when he found out she had secretly become a Christian.

"To anyone's knowledge, Rifqa never told anyone that she was frightened while living with her parents in Ohio. Those words only came out of her mouth after being missing for two and a half weeks and surfacing in the tight embrace of Mr. Lorenz, who had not promptly reported that the runaway had been in his home," the parents' statement read.

Lorenz could not immediately be reached today for comment, but told ABCNews.com Tuesday that he and his wife weren't even aware Rifqa's parents had reported her missing until she'd been at their house for more than two weeks.

Bary is now in Florida fighting to bring his daughter home. A judge Monday ordered Rifqa to remain in the custody of the Florida Department of Children and Families while authorities in that state and Ohio determine whether or not she'd be safe at home.

"If this case is perceived as a clash of religions, it is because Mr. Lorenz recklessly and without authorization put someone else's child in front of television cameras to
publicly renounce her previous faith," McCarthy said in the statement. "The parents who love Rifqa are in the best position now to protect her from the mess that Mr. Lorenz has made."

But Lorenz told ABCNews.com Tuesday that they were the people Rifqa sought out for protection.

Neda

There are some things that just crystallize the evil people are up against. So easy is it for us to say, "Go, Iranians!" from within the comfort of our air-conditioned homes on this, the most sacred day of Grilling in America, but on this father's day, one father must watch his daughter die. He must watch her murder and be helpless to save her.

Women already have it bad in Iran, as they do everywhere else in Mohammed's Dystopia. But to watch the lifeblood seep from every orifice on her lovely face is almost unbearable to watch. It makes me angry.

Tempted to say "Enough"! But it will and must be up to the Iranian people to jettison from their government, from their lives, their minds and souls this black cult of death. What good is a Mosavi government where the mullahs are dictating his every move? He is no more good or evil than Ahmadinejad.

Once and for all, as the Germans in defeat, and likewise the Japanese, the people must rise and repent of this insane religion and replace it with a truer one, or none at all.

A Superior Civilisation

Westerners are not supposed to recognise that they are living in a civilisation that is superior to other civilisations. But the smarter ones have trouble not seeing it, and in their more honest moments they admit the superiority of western civilisation, at least to themselves.
The great ideas of the West—rationalism, self-criticism, the disinterested search for truth, the separation of church and state, the rule of law and equality under the law, freedom of thought and expression, human rights, and liberal democracy—are superior to any others devised by humankind. It was the West that took steps to abolish slavery; the calls for abolition did not resonate even in Africa, where rival tribes sold black prisoners into slavery. The West has secured freedoms for women and racial and other minorities to an extent unimaginable 60 years ago. The West recognizes and defends the rights of the individual: we are free to think what we want, to read what we want, to practice our religion, to live lives of our choosing.___CityJournal
One could characterize the difference between the West and the Rest as a difference in epistemological principles. The desire for knowledge, no matter where it leads, inherited from the Greeks, has led to an institution unequaled—or very rarely equaled—outside the West: the university. Along with research institutes and libraries, universities are, at least ideally, independent academies that enshrine these epistemological norms, where we can pursue truth in a spirit of disinterested inquiry, free from political pressures. In other words, behind the success of modern Western societies, with their science and technology and open institutions, lies a distinct way of looking at the world, interpreting it, and recognizing and rectifying problems.

...A culture that gave the world the novel; the music of Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert; and the paintings of Michelangelo, da Vinci, and Rembrandt does not need lessons from societies whose idea of heaven, peopled with female virgins, resembles a cosmic brothel. Nor does the West need lectures on the superior virtue of societies in which women are kept in subjection under sharia, endure genital mutilation, are stoned to death for alleged adultery, and are married off against their will at the age of nine; societies that deny the rights of supposedly lower castes; societies that execute homosexuals and apostates. The West has no use for sanctimonious homilies from societies that cannot provide clean drinking water or sewage systems, that make no provisions for the handicapped, and that leave 40 to 50 percent of their citizens illiterate.
Western civilisation has worked its way through periods of monarchy, world colonialism, battles of totalitarian ideologies that took themselves too seriously--and has mostly come out on the side of facilitating the healing of the world's sick, feeding of the world's hungry, and helping to enable the impoverished of the world to acquire a measure of comfort. All of that, and much more typifies the prevailing spirit of the achieving west.

The suicidal west is another matter, but I suspect we can deal with them. All the doomseekers, holy warmers, lefty dieoff.orgies, and the like. But we cannot allow the suicidal insiders to sabotage us in our resistance to the bloody outsiders who would take our freedom and our lives.
