Wall Street Journal Poll: Trump Has Nearly Doubled Support Among Black Men and Women Since 2020

Thirty percent of black men and 11 percent of black women intend to vote for former President Donald Trump in 2024, Wall Street Journal polling found Thursday, which is a significant increase from 2020 data.

Losing black support would be a blow to President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign.

Only 12 percent of black men voted for Trump in 2020, voting data shows. There is no compatible 2020 polling for black men.

In 2020, six percent of black women said they would vote for Trump, Associated Press polling found, five points less than the Journal‘s 2024 polling.

In more good news for Trump, 42 percent of black women remain up for grabs in 2024, the Journal survey showed…

“There’s No Court That’s Found President Trump Tried to Steal the Election, Tried to Derail the Election or Tried to Start an Insurrection” – Robert Kennedy, Jr. Keeps Dropping Truth Bombs

Robert Kennedy, Jr.: “She asked me, “Don’t I think Trump is very dangerous for the republica?” And I said to her, I can make an argument that President Biden is even more dangerous to the republic. And she had this kind of astonished look — where her brain stopped working.

And I said the reason for that, that I would say that, is because President Biden did something that no other president in history, a court has found this.

There’s no court that’s found that President Trump tried to steal the election or tried to derail the election or tried to start an insurrection. There may be plenty of evidence that he did that. There’s no cout that’s found that.

But there’s courts that have found that President Biden was censoring his opponents. And not just me, although he did censor me, and I did win that suit. So, it’s not me making it up.

And, by the way, they were censoring me not because I was promoting misinformation… The Facebook people were saying what he actually was saying was factually correct.

They had to come up with a new word to describe my post. And the word is ‘malinformation.’ It’s not misinformation or disinformation. It’s ‘malinformation,’ which is information that is factually correct but is, nevertheless, inconvenient for the government.

New Polling Shows Even Democrats Now Believe the Border Crisis is an ‘Invasion’

A majority of Democrats have joined with Republicans and independents in decrying the Biden border crisis, adding to the building pressure on the White House to fix its three years of immigration blundering.

Just one day after revealing data showing that people believe the immigration disaster is President Joe Biden’s way of building a “permanent majority” of liberal voters for the Democratic Party, Rasmussen Reports said most voting groups agree the situation is at a crisis stage.

By a margin of 69%-22%, likely voters believe the open borders that have allowed in record numbers of illegal immigrants are a crisis. That includes 51% of Democrats, 63% of black people, 65% of women, and 64% of younger voters.

Audit Finds California Has Spent $24 Billion on Homeless Programs Over Five Years and the Problem Has Only Gotten Worse

Cities across the country are dealing with an exploding problem of homelessness, but places like Los Angeles and San Francisco in California are among the worst.

In a shocking turn of events, an audit has found that California has spent $24 billion on homeless programs yet the problem persists and in some places is getting worse.

Would California have seen better improvements if they just gave this money directly to homeless people? Could the outcome have been any worse?

Switzerland ‘violated human rights’ by not tackling climate change quickly enough, rules ECHR in landmark case

The case sets a precedent that could see national governments across Europe sued for not pursuing a sufficiently aggressive climate agenda

National governments are infringing on citizens’ human rights by not doing enough to tackle climate change, the European Court of Human Rights has held in a landmark ruling that could have far-reaching consequences and influence climate policy across the continent.

In a highly-anticipated judgment, the Strasbourg court on Tuesday sided with a group of Swiss pensioners who brought a claim against their national government for its perceived failure to act sufficiently in reducing carbon emissions, claiming that existing climate policy was violating their human rights.

The members of the KlimaSeniorinnen group, supported by environmental campaign groups such as Greenpeace, argued that elderly citizens are particularly vulnerable to the effects of climate change, citing the fact that excess deaths occur more regularly among the elderly during periods of extreme heat because they are less able to regulate their body temperature.

The group also claimed that heat waves impact the mental well-being of elderly citizens more because they are less able to go outside and withstand the heat, which they argue affects their quality of life.

The association relied on Article 2 of the European Convention on Human Rights, which protects the general right to life, and Article 8, which guarantees the right to private and family life.

The Vlad Tepes Blog comments:

So your basic human rights and liberties can now be taken away because of the weather if governments don’t want to be sued. And now we know why wars are not the worst thing that can happen. End the COMINTERN now.

Elon Musk - Things Most People Don't Know About China

Interesting thoughts on our geopolitical situation.

You'll notice Musk says he has done a lot of business with China. He says he has met with the leadership a number of times.

And, you'll notice, he doesn't say anything critical of China.

Well, of course.

On the other hand, we know Musk is no pushover. He is, for instance, standing up against Brazil right now. He is willing to lose all business is Brazil.

But Brazil is nowhere near the size and power of China.

Another interesting thing to note here is when Musk talks about the "conspicuous acts of kindness" performed by the US, Lex Friedman says, "Isn't this the way forward"?

And then, after that, he talks about how nations would be best served if they focused on doing the best for themselves, not trying to change others. There is a lot of difficulty he is glossing over here. For instance, Taiwan. Lex Friedman makes it sound like we should just give up Taiwan, because it is inevitable.

That hardly sounds like a "conspicuous act of kindness."

It sounds like Neville Chamberlain.

But you know what focusing on imrpoving one's own nation sounds like?

But Lex Friedman would never admit that Trump was right about anything, would he?

Because Lex Friedman is an intellectual elitist. He thinks he is a part of the Intelligentsia, and only people who act and speak like members of the Intelligentsia should have a place in decision making.

Trump doesn't fit that mold.

Trump Warmly Greeted at Atlanta Chick-fil-A by Workers and HBCU Students from Spelman, Morehouse

President Trump flew into Atlanta Wednesday for a high dollar fundraiser and on the way stopped by a Chick-fil-A in the Vine City neighborhood where he was warmly received by workers and HBCU (historically black colleges and universities) students. Videos posted by the Trump campaign, RSBN and C-SPAN captured the visit.

The videos that are sure to shake up the Biden-Harris campaign show the friendly interaction between Trump and Black women working the counter at the Chick-fil-A and the hero’s welcome given Trump by Black supporters at the restaurant.

When Trump walked in he greeted the workers, ordering 30 milkshakes and chicken for customers while engaging in conversation that brought smiles to their faces.

Short video by the Trump campaign’s Margo Martin: “”Can I have 30 milkshakes and also some chicken? We are going to take care of the customers. Is business good? (Yes.) You’re making a lot of money? (Yes!) Everyone can get rich, right? (Yes! Laughter.) Thanks very much.”

A Trump supporter posted a screen image of the workers reacting to Trump, “Yep! And we’ve all seen people forced to stand near presidents – and they aren’t smiling. Those big, beautiful smiles aren’t forced. They’re sincere & it makes me so happy! I met Trump in the ’90s. He has a special way about him, you can’t help but smile when he talks to you!”

... warning that Democrats may wind up gifting Trump with more votes than Biden.
Things have changed so dramatically that it's likely to affect how Democrats campaign. We're already seeing it happen. Last week, we learned that an influential data scientist had warned major Democratic donors in a confidential memo not to register young and black voters ahead of the 2024 election because they're likely going to vote for Donald Trump.

"Indeed, if we were to blindly register nonvoters and get them on the rolls, we would be distinctly aiding Trump's quest for a personal dictatorship," Aaron Strauss warned in the memo, citing recent polling showing Trump's strength with unregistered voters.

Iranian Strike on Israel ‘Imminent’ Within the Next 24-48 Hours – Reporters

Iranian Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said that the Zionist regime made the mistake of attacking the Iranian diplomatic mission in Syria during his comments Wednesday during Eid al-Fitr prayers.

Khamenei told supporters, “The evil regime made a mistake and it should be punished and will be punished.”

This could escalate quickly. Israel already announced an attack on Iran in response to any attack from Iranian territory.

The promised Iranian retaliation for the Israeli attack on Tehran’s consulate in Damascus is likely in the next 24-48 hours, anonymous US officials told Bloomberg on Wednesday.

Two generals of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force were killed in the Israeli airstrike on April 1, which for the first time targeted an internationally protected diplomatic mission.

There has been a widespread expectation that Iran would refrain from reprisal until the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Speaking on Wednesday, as Muslims celebrated the feast of Eid-al-Fitr, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that Israel “must and shall be punished” for what it did.

“Major missile or drone strikes” are now imminent, Bloomberg reported citing “people familiar with” the Israeli, US and allied intelligence reports. They will likely be carried out by either Iran directly, or its allies such as the Lebanon-based Hezbollah, the anonymous sources said.

Woketopia, Massachusetts, Where the Left Eats Its Own

This week the New Yorker published a lengthy story about the meltdown taking place at a Middle School in Amherst, Massachusetts. Amherst is described as a town where there are more BLM signs than there are black people. The city is 70% white and about 12% black and Hispanic, but the public schools have a higher percentage of minorities because many well off white and Asian families send their kids to private schools.

Ben Herrington, a former member of the school committee at Amherst Regional Middle School (ARMS) said of Amherst, "Amherst is a town that loves to bill itself as being a woketopia. We have this Berkeley East persona that we put out. We aren’t really like that, though."

Actually, it sounds to me like they are really like that, at least many of the white people in town are. But the black and Hispanic kids and adults seem to be part of an earlier edition of progressivism, one in which black people were considered the most oppressed group and therefore at the top of the invisible but widely understood pyramid of oppression.

Under the new rules, trans kids (most of whom are white) are claiming space as the most oppressed group and that sets up a conflict which can't easily be solved. The problems seem to have started when the black superintendent took over and created a new DEI assistant job.

Morris introduced a new administrative position, assistant superintendent of diversity, equity, and human resources... [In 2017] he selected Cunningham, then an assistant principal in Connecticut, for the job. “There was a lot of racism in the district,” Cunningham told me recently...

Under Cunningham, Amherst instituted a two-step hiring process, intended to root out implicit bias: one committee chose candidates and another asked the applicants a uniform set of questions. The interviewers did not see the applicants’ résumés ahead of time and were largely kept from talking to one another about the candidates. Cunningham told me that she “trained everyone—anyone who was going to be part of the committees was trained to look at their bias.” But multiple district employees told me that Cunningham often screened the candidates herself and made final decisions, even overruling principals at times. She denied this: “I’m not the one who hired anyone.”

Some of the people who were hired were allegedly relatives of Cunningham. She hired two school counselors, Dykes and Santos, who were later accused of bringing religion into the school and of being hostile to trans students.

Many people I spoke to alleged that both Dykes and Santos brought religion into the school. Dykes told colleagues and students that she would pray for them or, if they were facing some dilemma, ask if they had prayed on it. According to the Title IX investigation, Santos brought up the Bible and Jesus when speaking with students...Often, the counsellors did not call gender-nonconforming students by their preferred pronouns...

Dykes’s sincerity in trying to “get it right” on behalf of trans kids would ultimately come into serious doubt. But there were other regrettable incidents in which the culprit may have been simple human error and the ordinary bureaucratic disarray of any sizable public school. Jo changed their name twice in middle school, and the district was slow to correct their name in its databases. As a result, Jo’s mother said, Jo “spent most class periods that had substitute teachers in the Student Support Center, because they could not deal with the constant misgendering and deadnaming.”

So some of this sounds like a case of trans students being special snowflakes who expect the entire world to jump every time they create a new identity for themselves. On the other hand, no one should have to put up with bullying at school and some of that was happening. But here again there was a problem for woketopia. Most of the bullies were minority kids.

Jo and their mother continued to report incidents of alleged bullying and harassment to various staffers at ARMS. Although one boy received a suspension, Jo and their mother were dismayed that the school did not mete out more consequences. Like many other progressive school districts, Amherst uses restorative-justice practices, which prioritize mediation and reconciliation over punishment, as part of an effort to redress racial disparities in the disciplinary process. “What’s unique about Amherst is that there are racial and class dynamics that layer on top of the gender dynamics, and those have certain demographic tendencies,” a longtime administrator in Amherst told me. Jo and Casey are white; the boys accused of bullying them and other trans students at arms were mostly Black and Latino...

“I’m not saying that some of these students don’t cause problems,” an ARMS staff member said, of the kids who were frequently disciplined at the school, “but they are the ones who face the most social ills in society. They’re the ones with a single mom working two jobs. They’re taking care of their younger siblings.” Herrington described a divide between families as, on one side, kids who live in spacious single-family homes, and, on the other, kids who live in apartment complexes, many of whom use Section 8 vouchers. “The kids from the apartments—they’re those kids, whether people will say it that way or not,” Herrington said.

So there are white, well off trans kids being bullied by less well-off black and brown kids. Thanks to the adoption of restorative justice policies, these kids are supposed to meet face to face to work out their differences. But what actually happened is one Latino boy told Jo he believed there were only two genders. Jo's father responded by suggesting the boy should be removed from the school or even sent "to Mars."

Ultimately, Jo's family demanded a Title IX investigation which found that Dykes and Santos, the two counsellors, "engaged in severe, pervasive, and objectively offensive unwelcome conduct." As for Cunningham, the DEI coordinator who had set the hiring practice under which both of them were hired, the report said she frequently accused colleagues of racism. That's supposed to be a surprise I guess but from my perspective isn't accusing people of racism the job description for a DEI coordinator?

Another finding in the report: People were afraid to speak up about problems with minority staffers for fear of being called racist...

Religious Faith Can Be "Turned Off" by Magnetic Transcranial Stimulation, Scientists Find, Or, That Weird World Of Leftism Where Religious Experience Is Equated With "Right-Wing Prejudice"

From Igor Chudov

Many of us hold strong religious beliefs. Religions are foundational not only for individuals; they support entire societies, preventing self-destruction by keeping perverse and antisocial behaviors in check.

Religion is an ephemeral connection between humans and God, a private and direct bond that is, paradoxically, mediated by ancient traditions and group practices in houses of worship. People believed in supernatural beings for about as long as they were human:

We can ask a question: can the invisible link between the faithful and God be severed by a third party armed with the tools provided by the latest scientific advances?

Disturbingly, the answer may be yes. Scientists led by Dr. Colin Holbrook at UCLA undertook a multi-year endeavor to discover ways to stop “religious beliefs and right-wing prejudice.” They attempted to apply direct electromagnetic stimulation to the brain to alter human beliefs, specifically turning off belief in God.

Dr. Holbrook has led extensive research on this topic for many years. He described how electromagnetic stimulation of the frontal cortex (frontal part of the brain) “experimentally decreased avowed belief in God”:

After using a purposely made device, scientists describe a significant reduction in expressed belief in positive religious ideas:

Religious belief: We next tested the effects of TMS on endorsement of religious beliefs following a reminder of death. In a marginal trend, overall avowed religious belief (including both positive and negative beliefs) was reduced in the TMS condition relative to the sham condition 2.95 vs 4.26. As predicted, this shift was driven by a significant reduction in expressed belief in positive religious ideas. Participants in the TMS condition reported an average of 32.8% less conviction in positive religious beliefs.

A Very Unethical Study: Authors Lied to Subjects

That study was extremely unethical! When recruiting study subjects, Dr. Holbrook lied about the purpose of the study (using electromagnetic waves to reduce belief in God) and offered participants $25 while promising “ostensibly unrelated” activities:

Undergraduates were recruited for a study, ostensibly consisting of a series of unrelated measures, in exchange for $25.

Now, as we know, to religious people, abandoning belief in God is blasphemy and puts them at risk of going to Hell, shunning, and so on.

If I were a study participant whose deeply held faith was endangered by reckless scientists’ electromagnetic experiments, I would be quite outraged.

Work Continues - Sponsored by the U.S. Air Force!

For years after that, Dr. Holbrook continued to work on “religious neuromodulation” and electromagnetic waves to reduce undesirable (to him and his sponsors) beliefs, such as religious faith and “prejudice.”

His 2018 work “Continuous Theta Burst Stimulation of the Posterior Medial Frontal Cortex to Experimentally Reduce Ideological Threat Responses” further develops methods to downregulate group bias and religious belief.

This is the description of how electromagnetic waves were applied:

This is how the device looks (also note the possessed look of the researcher and the sad face of the subject, as if he has a premonition):

The outcome was, indeed, a dramatic reduction of religious beliefs:

Also consistent with predictions, participants who received cTBS reported an average of 32.8% less positive religious conviction (M = 3.05, SD = 1.92) relative to the sham participants

Guess who sponsored this work?

Highly Partisan Researchers

The researchers leading the work to “neuromodulate religious beliefs” are extreme political partisans. Consider Dr. Holbrook’s 2020 article, since deleted (wonder why?) but fortunately preserved by the Internet archive:

Some pearls from this left-wing ideologue researcher:

If, as the large and growing body of evidence outlined above suggests, conservatives truly are more threat-reactive and more credulous of alleged threats, then a polarized media environment in which conservatives are inundated with disinformation about outgroup threats may set the stage for far-right extremism to flourish. Indeed, levels of conservatism track the intensity of belief in conspiracy theories.4

The author is not prone to subtleties. An idea to check if there is such a thing as left-wing conspiracy theories, threats that do exist, practices of the hysterical left-wing press seeing “threats to democracy” behind every tree, and so on, do not enter his mind.

However, these ideologically obsessed experimenters work hard to develop technology to disable religious beliefs and undesirable right-wing ideologies. In doing so, they are sponsored by the United States government (Air Force).

Use of government funds to electromagnetically weaken the free exercise of religious beliefs of unsuspecting experimental subjects directly contradicts the prohibitions of the First Amendment:

Such a violation does not seem to concern anyone involved.

Final Thoughts

I am not a religious person. I am an agnostic. I tried to read holy books to see if I should adopt a particular religion. The books left a lasting impression on me and fostered my respect for religion and its role in history, but I am not ready to adopt a particular denomination. I realize that God’s existence or nonexistence is unprovable by the very definition of God.

And yet, I fully respect and support the right of every human to forge a connection with God. This link should be free of crazed science ideologues trying to meddle with it by sneaky use of electromagnetic devices and $25 bribes given under false pretenses.

The material I am discussing is nothing short of insane. If a person whom I just met told me that scientists use electromagnetic waves to turn off faith in God, I might have dismissed such an approach as crazy talk. It instantly evokes tinfoil hats (which would not work due to the low 50 Hz frequency of the signal) and other artifacts of mental illness.

And yet, here we are: ideologically obsessed researchers like Dr. Holbrook conduct scientific experimental studies that successfully turn off religious faith and other foundational beliefs in half the subjects. The US Government sponsors such studies. Nobody is asking questions.

Dr. Holbrook

Some will try to label this post a “conspiracy theory.” Far from it: it is based on existing scientific research and background information on the researchers conducting unethical experiments on religious people - experiments that likely pave the way for future large-scale human modification projects.

X Vs Brazil's Thugocracy: Elon Musk Announces He Will Defy Court Order to Censor People Who Do Not Like Lula Da Silva's Style of Rule

At 5:52 pm Eastern Time, today, April 6, 2024, X corporation, formerly known as Twitter, announced that a Brazilian court had forced it to “block certain popular accounts in Brazil.” Then, less than one hour later, the owner of X, announced that X would defy the court’s order, and lift all restrictions. “As a result,” said Musk, “we will probably lose all revenue in Brazil and have to shut down our office there. But principles matter more than profit.” At any moment, Brazil’s Supreme Court could shut off all access to X/Twitter for the people of Brazil. It is not an exaggeration to say that Brazil is on the brink of dictatorship at the hands of a totalitarian Supreme Court Justice named Alexandre de Moraes. President Lula da Silva is participating in the push toward totalitarianism. Since taking office, Lula has massively increased government funding of the mainstream news media, most of which are encouraging increased censorship. What Lula and de Moraes are doing is an outrageous violation of Brazil’s constitution and the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights. At this moment, Brazil is not yet a dictatorship. It still has elections and the Brazilian people have other means at their disposal to confront authoritarianism. But the Federal Supreme Court and the Superior Electoral Court are directly interfere in those elections through censorship. Three days ago I published the Twitter Files for Brazil. They show that Moraes has violated the Brazilian Constitution. Moraes illegally demanded that Twitter reveal private information about Twitter users who used hashtags he considered inappropriate. He demanded access to Twitter's internal data, violating the platform's policy. He censored, on his own initiative and without any respect for due process, posts on Twitter by parliamentarians from the Brazilian Congress. And Moraes tried to turn Twitter's content moderation policies into a weapon against supporters of then-president Jair Bolsonaro. I say this as an independent and non-partisan journalist. I'm not a fan of either Bolsonaro or Trump. My political views are very moderate. But I know censorship when I see it. The Twitter Files also revealed that Google, Facebook, Uber, WhatsApp and Instagram betrayed the people of Brazil. If such evidence is proven, the executives of these companies behaved like cowards: they provided the Brazilian government with personal registration data and telephone numbers without a court order and, therefore, violating the law. When Twitter refused to provide Brazilian authorities with private user information, including direct messages, the government attempted to sue Twitter's top Brazilian lawyer. When I lived in Brazil in 1992, I was very left-wing. At the time, Lula and the PT's slogans were “Without fear of being happy”. In recent days, I have spoken to dozens of Brazilians, including professors, journalists and respected lawyers. Everyone tells me they are shocked by what is happening. They told me that they are afraid to speak their mind and that the Lula government is complicit in creating this climate of fear. Brazil belongs to the Brazilians. It is not my country. As such, there are limits to what I am capable of doing. But I can say things that many Brazilians do not feel safe saying: Alexandre de Moraes is a tyrant. And the only way to deal with tyrants is to confront them. It is up to Brazil’s senators to confront the tyrant. And it is up to the people of Brazil to demand that their senators do so.
