Having recently seen United 93, I am once again doubly cognizant of the fact that it is very important for us to remember the visceral terror and disgust of September 11th. That was the day we found out that much of the Islamic world was not, as we always thought, simply full of bluster, but instead, that they truly want to destroy us.
And, that they will do whatever they could to kill as many of us as possible.
I highly recommend that everyone go to Little Green Footballs September 2001 archive, and go back to September 1st, and read through the month. You will see the story of how September 11th completely changed the life of Charles Johnson. And, in his story, you will recall your own.
I'm willing to bet that, as soon as you are finished reading his Sept. archive, you will want to move ahead and read the October archive as well.
Let me know what you think.

Yes, you got that right, 3 Pillars.
Two comments on 9/11 caught my eye...
Paul Smith:
I am still proud to be human because the people behind these attacks do not qualify to be classed as part of the human race.
I will not call them animals because that would be an insult to them.
There are no real words to decribe what has happen.
Charles:
The creatures who did this were not human. Humanity is something you choose; when these things chose their course, plotted their evil, and carried it out, they relinquished the privilege of being considered human.
Even more sickening are the scenes of celebration coming out of Palestine and other Islamic states. Such hate. Such joyous embracing of evil. It's just soul-wrenching.
Those pretty much my first reactions on 9/11.
That day changed my life.
The world changed on 9/11.
And reading those entries at LGF again makes me unable to find words.
Yeah, I would say my life changed on 9/11 as well. In a way, it shocked me into adulthood.
Excellent post Pastorious- reading over that material again was an experience. It's shocking to think just how much the world has changed since then. And that some people still haven't realised.
