The Art Of D.T. Devereaux

D.T. Devereaux critiques George Bush's "Religion of Peace" meme, (which, to be fair, I haven't heard him utter for quite some time now).

Go check out D.T.'s site, but be forewarned that it is intense.

I recommend you read the comments section. Mr. Devereaux is a very thoughtful and articulate man, and his responses to his commenters are well worth the time it takes to read them.

Great site, except for the ridiculous warning screen.

I want one of those warnings so badly my teeth bleed.

As mentioned above, Derek is one first-class writer as well as illusturator and sculptor and so on. I urge you to go to his no-famous illustration of Mohammed and spend time reading the comments, of which ther are many. Them I further urge you to return to his on-going thread and elave a massage with him and others that Derek should compile the best of those comments and others from his site into a manuscript for publication. Some of the letters he has are so poignant I could weep, and others are so brilliant I shine too. Many, many comments there are well worth preserving for our struggle and for the sake of enjoyment of fine writing, deep feeling, and clear thinking.

Let Derek know he could make a fortune at a book like this proposed. And I'm sure you'll enjoy the better comments for their own sake.

Sadly, Devereaux' blogspot site has closed. I have collected most of his cartoons here.
