Amidst reports that Israel has given Syria an ultimatum to cut of Hizbollah and get the men returned or face a massive attack ...and the source is claimed to be a "senior pentagon source", we may see something very interesting shaping up.
Has Iran in fact decided that Syria is expendable in order to create a regional war they can enter in Iraq to create a conflagration which will both cause the US to step on Israel and give them room to build their nukes? They believe if they do their part, God will create a way for them
Israel is compelled to attack Syria as Iran goads Assad to openly keep up Hizbollah supply and support.
Iran launches massive attacks via missile on Israel ..and then unleashes the Badr and Al Sadr morons on american forces in Iraq which dissolves into utter chaos.
Huge regional war.
What should our response be?

As expected, the msm are playing up the poor, innocent civilians in Lebanon. Where is the sympathy for what Israel has had to put up with? See A History of Terrorism in Israel.
Epa,
I do think Iran consider the Syrian REGIME dispensible. They have nothing in common with with Bashar Assad.
But, I don't think their larger goal is Iraq. I think their number one priority is Israel.
Or, do you think all the rhetoric against Israel is just for show?
I think they started this war hoping that Israel would do something which would give them (Iran) the right, in the eyes of the international community, to escalate a war against Israel.
Once that war begins, Iran is counting on Israel violating the sovereignty of their borders, and attempting to destroy their nuclear facilities. As these facilities are in residential areas, this will mean a lot of civilian casualties, or so Iran hopes.
Then, Iran believes they will have the international sympathy to enact their final solution.
That's my theory.
What do you think?
By the way, if you listen closely to the words coming out of the Bush Admin, I think it's obvious not only that America is behind Israel, but that America has larger strategic goals in this war.
I think Bush believes this war is battle in our war, and I think he is itching for something to happen which will give us the opportunity to join the battle.
Why does Bush look like hell, Epa. He is supporting Israel in everything they do.
Ah, I hadn't noticed that. Too bad. This would be the first time he looked as if the Presidency were running him down.
He's been a superman up until now.
