I Never Heard of This "Kooreen" or Whatever You Call It

Yesterday I was having a casual conversation with a man who is about mid-thirty, intelligent. We were talking about Israel and what's going on over there right now, and we didn't have long to talk, so I got his email address and sent him a few articles last night, which he read.

When I saw him today, he said, "I never heard of this Kooreen." I didn't even know what he meant. Finally I realized he meant "Qur'an." He'd never heard of it, and he was surprised that it was written by one man.

Good grief! What are you doing out there people?! Am I the only one talking to people?! How come this guy had never heard of the Qur'an!?

I'm just riffing now. Please don't take it personally.

When I was done filling in some details for this guy, he was even more surprised. You can imagine. He knew NOTHING about it!

A little while later, someone brought up Israel, and he was already sharing what I'd just told him. One more American who has a bit more of a clue about what is really causing the conflict. When I said goodbye to him, he asked me to send him more articles, which I just did.

This issue (Israel's retaliation) has opened up a lot of opportunities to educate people. I hope we're all using the opportunities the best we can!

By the way, I was looking for a picture to put with my post, and I remembered something I saw in a DVD Damien had recommended to me about the Ku Klux Klan. I was surprised to find out one of the things that started their big surge where they gained MILLIONS of followers in the first part of the 20th century is that they came out with a book. They called it the Kloran. I am not making this up!

I just looked it up a few minutes ago and found this picture of one. Truth is stranger than fiction.

If there's one fact above all others that every non-Muslim should know about Islam, it is that Muslims are commanded to spread Islam by whatever means may be necessary. This includes lying about Islam to gullible non-Muslims ('Religion of Peace' and all that crap)

If you want to know about Catholicism ask a priest.
If you want to know about Anglicanism ask a vicar.
If you want to know about Buddhism ask a lama.
If you want to know about Judaism ask a rabbi.
If you want to know about Islam DON'T ask an imam - all you'll get will be lies.

Knowing about taqiyya gives immunity to Muslim propaganda - both the deceit spread by the Muslims themselves and also lies unwittingly spread by their subservient dhimmis and other surrender-monkeys.

If you understand taqiyya, then you will understand that everything that Muslims tell non-Muslims is suspect and dubious. Everything that you learned in school about Islam has been approved by Muslims.

It might be an idea if every counter-jihadist blog did frequent articles on taqiyya so that new readers could be updated on the blatant lies that Muslims tell about their own religion.

Some useful links on taqiyya:

Americans don't care about anything as long as there is beer and their personal favorite sport is not interrupted. I have talked w/people that can recite reams of sports data and can't name one of their US Senators.

C-Dub,
You should have corrected his mispronuciation.

It's not "Koreeen".

It's The Krayon.

CW,
Question; why do you think they called it the Kloran? I'm guessing the inspiration was the Krayon.

By the way, there is more Muslim influence in this country then we might normally think. On the Arizona/California border, there is a place called Mecca. It would appear, someone traveling through there, hundreds of years ago, decided it looked like Mecca. I would have to agree with them, because it was pretty close to hell.

Mind boggling that this fellow had never heard of the Koran.

Where did he receive his formal education?

What's "formal"?

I would guess something more obvious

Chlorine

Chlorine is a powerful oxidant and is used in bleaching and disinfectants.

A whitening agent

Or, a combination of the two words, because, if you were going to mispell Chlorine, wouldn't it more like be Cloreen or Kloreen?

I saw the "Ku Klux Klan, A Secret History," several times and I think that's the documentary I told you about. Thing is I don't remember hearing about that book either. Strange, maybe its because the last time I saw it, I didn't know much about Islam or Jihad.

By the way, did you get to see the other one I told you about?

Makes sense if it is a combination of the Chlorine and Koran

Citizen Warrior said...

Yes, Damien, I got the other one too. It's about Nazis in America. Haven't seen it yet.

Citizen Warrior,

Thanks for letting me know. When you do see it, let me know what you think, and let me know if they both proved useful.

Classroom education.

My homeschoolers, even the ones in middle school, have heard of the Koran -- and not only from me.

Pastorius said...

AOW,
So, I guess that would mean paying attention and stuff.

Update: Today I was in a conversation with that guy. I have sent him about seven articles, which he read! And he and I were talking and someone came up and asked if we were talking about the Israel-Palestine war, and the guy said, "Oh, it is beyond wars. The real cause is deep." Then he turned to me and said, "It's fascinating finding out where all this hate is really coming from."

Ahhhhhh. One of those moments I can really savor in this work.

That is great.

But, at the same time, it is sad that it requires a paradigm-shifting conversion experience for a person to understand that they ought to support Israel over Gaza, or that Islam is dangerous.

Then again, perhaps many of our fellow citizens are not that far away from such a conversion. Perhaps, they only need a little push.

Or, really perhaps all they need is permission, an excuse.

Maybe they are crying out for such.
