"I'm afraid the strain was more than he could bear"

See, now, one feller here is about to lose his God given Rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Wimmen and Whiskey -- NO! NOT THE WHISKEY! -- 'cuz the other feller here decides to Exercise his God Given Right to Self Defense.

Is the rest of Tombstone as good as the clips?

I love Tombstone. I think I see MEN standing up against evil. But, yes, it had to happen because the Cowboys shot a priest at the beginning of the film.
