Tim Pawlenty: The Latest Dangerous Neoconservative
Republicans have spent a decade as the party of war. In fact, since President George W. Bush abandoned his call for a “humble foreign policy” the country has not been at peace.
I’m trying to get my brain around how “W” (not really any ‘kind’ of conservative) could have avoided war.
Doug Bandow, the author, is a Cato guy from way back.
Now, I would rather avoid all foreign entanglements, INCLUDING the middle east. But like that telling moment in 1932, it’s just not possible on this planet anymore.
I’m all for a reasoned, ELONGATED debate over what we should be involved in, and under what circumstances, but how the republicans can be blamed for what occurred 9 months into what surely looked like a domestically aligned presidency of small to medium consequence in Jan 2001, is WAY beyond me, and is as ridiculous as anything I’ve heard from the HuffPo, Olberman left.
But maybe that horrifying dem neoconservative should have ignored what happened from 12/7/41~5/4/42 as well.
Right?
