ERDOGAN AND WILDERS

To me it appears that Erdogan is attempting to stir up an Intifada in The Nehterlands right now.
Right now. In the time leading up to the election.
It would seem obvious to me that this is only going to lead to Geert Wilders being elected Prime Minister.
We may not like Erdogan, but I'm sure we would all agree he is a smart guy.
Why would he want Wilders to be elected?

He is not thinking of Wilders. He simply cannot control his jihadist impulses.

He doesn't give a shit whether he helps Wilders or not.

This, his belligerence toward another harmless white European nation, is helping his poll numbers at home with his Islamist base.

Hmm.

Ok.

Well, do you agree that if he continues on with his belligerence, he is going to end up getting Wilders elected?

Yes, and probably Le Pen if this continues and spreads to France and other European nations. Remember Belgium ...

The way Erdogan is acting is the same as Morsi and MB toward the end of their reign in Egypt. This is him lashing out, not necessarily planning this all the way through. Lets not forget that Turkey's current MB leadership (Erdogan et al) was being propped up by Obama and his admin. Everyone had pinned their hopes on Clinton being elected who would have continued Obummer's policies of supporting terrorist organizations such as MB. With Trump getting elected these MB folks are even more desperate than Morsi was back in 2013. This is nothing but these guys acting out of anger and fear. Their days are numbered, they think they can create chaos everywhere and stay in power as they've done for the last 8 years. It was possible with the West ignoring itself and pretending to fix everyone else's problems. Now most Western countries and their populace are looking inward. With Brexit and then Trump most people realize that looking after your own citizens is not such a horrible thing.

Either way, Erdogan is f*cked. And just like in the early days of Islam when those assholes were effed, they attacked the Byzantine empire in desperation. They got their asses handed to them back then, and these muzzies will get their asses handed to them now.

The ruling Liberals. due to electoral self-preservation acted belligerent toward Turkey this time as well, thus stealing some of Wilder's anti-immigrant street cred.

I dont follow the situation too closely, but from what little I gather, even if Wilder's party gets more parliamentary votes than anyone else (20% to 25%), the others are going to try to form a coalition around him.

A Wilders victory, just like a Trump victory, is not really going to fix the Islam problem there or here.

Thats going to require sustained organized street-level violence by the native population.

They're getting closer to that point but not yet willing to risk their personal freedom to preserve their cultural identity.

Nico has an excellent point. Erdogan is under pressure in the aftermath of Egypt. Additionally, ISIS, to some extent, makes him look like a pussy.

RT, your point is good as well Rutte, the other major candidate, has been trying to steal Wilders anti-immigrant thunder.

I guess it's kind of a perfect storm, as all moments of change seem to be.
